I am new to this site and have just put down a deposit on my dress!
The photos are me in the sample which is 2 sizes to big! The dress will be a more fitted and slightly flare out down the bottom – in a subtle way.
I will also have a longish train on mine.
Do you think I should add a belt or not?

Thanks for voting – can i also ask – can you please comment whether you think the dress needs a belt or something similar to jazz it up or whether you think its ok plain?

i think this dress is the best kind to add a belt/bling to. its elegant but plain enough that you can completely accessorize it!

The dress as is is ok, but if you want to accessorize, why not try a nice sash? You can still have it neutrally coloured, or if you want something more that pops, you can use some color incorporated in your wedding theme. Hope this helped!

my very first thought was beautiful dress! my second thought was i wonder what it would look like with a sash
either way you picked a winner – congrats!

How about a broach or a blingy flower pin?

I don’t think it needs it. It’s elegant as is.
A belt with a littel bling would be great, but I don’t think it’s necessary. 🙂

You look great without it. I think a belt/sash chops the dress too much. If you want to add bling, I would do it with jewelry!

Yes, I think that dress would look gorgeous with a belt or sash!! And it’ll look even better when it’s fitted to your body!! 🙂 Good choice!

great idea thanks – where would be the best place to put it?

I love your dress on its own, but agree that this is a great candidate to add a sash or belt! Gorgeous choice!

Yes, I think so. It adds a certain something to the dress.

I usually prefer sashes but with this dress, I don’t think it needs it 🙂

First, let me say that I am really over the belt thing. However, I realize a lot of people still really like this. Your dress is simple and elegant. Try it with a long veil and some jewelry. You probably won’t feel like you still need a belt.

I am a lover of all things blingy (to an extent). I saw your dress and immediately loved it on you. Elegant, classic, and simple withouth being too simple. I saw it with the belt and I really thought it took away from the dress. Without the belt you’re staring at YOU but with the belt you’re focusing on the belt. If you want to add some pizzazz I would do a chunky necklace.
