No, this is not my BM’s dress. It is actually my wedding dress (in ivoryish white, of course!). It is a Cindy Collection #1135. I picked it because I wanted something simple, yet chic. Plus, it was only $150 and just the right size. Not to mention I loved how I looked in it. It was perfect.
But once I found an actual pic of the dress I started having second thoughts about it. It looks so, SO simple for a wedding. I was very relieved to see so many ‘fit and flare’ styled wedding dresses on the forums. And to check, I asked FI very discretely if a very similar styled dress was too simple for his taste. To my surprise, he liked it a lot. I must add that in white it looks completely different. My mom says the problem is that it doesn’t look as good on the model as it does on me. Aren’t moms the best?
I simply love it, but what do you guys think? Ok or too simple? Thoughts please!

I think it’s just fine! The detail at the top makes it a bit more dressed up. You can also add a beaded sash to dress it up to!

It is definitely not too simple!! Especially if you are wearing a veil or accessories, and carrying flowers- you’ll look great! If the price was right and the fit was great then try not to over think it and just be happy!

def not too simple! mine is even more simple than your actually! (no beading along the top) and also mermaid/ fit and flare with a ruched top… i think its very pretty and im sure it will look fabulous on your wedding day! the girl should wear the dress (the dress should not wear the girl) plus now you can accessorize as much or a little as you like! i think a chunky bracelet and some awesome earrings would be great!

I agree not too simple at all. Very pretty! Mine is just as simple if not more so. I think we Bees second guess ourselves because we see so many other dresses that are so different than our own. But I think yours looks beautiful, and if you love it that is all that matters anyway!

No, I definitely do not think that is too simple! It has much more detail than many dresses I’ve seen, and that’s one heck of a great price!

Thanks for your thoughts ladies! From what I can see, these days, less is more. Ill just leave it at that and move on. Will definitely be doing the big bracelet (pearl bracelet!) and the big earrings. Flower on the side of the hair, right next to the veil, and voila!

No way!! It looks gorgeous…you can always jazz it up later with a brooch or something if you feel the same way closer to your date. But i love it!!

Don’t judge the photo, judge the way you look and feel in the dress! I think it’s perfect and if you love it then don’t second guess it.

I think it’s really pretty! Like others said, the beading at the top does a lot to dress it up, and the price was right

I think it’s great – if you love it (you’ve tried on the actual dress, right?) go for it!

I love it. I had a very (even simplier) simple dress than yours. It was jcrew. I loved it and it was totally my style.

I think it’s perfect, too. You will be amazed at how quickly a veil can transform just about any dress into a wedding gown (and any girl into a bride!). 🙂
