Weddingbee boards

So, I hate to repeat myself but... my FI & I are currently working on a $0. budget for our wedding. At first, we figured we'd get things little by little and there'd be no problem. But as time goes by we realize we will need to make 'wedding' money somehow. Well, at least I GOT MY DRESS!!!

A few months ago, I took my 'future mother'n law shopping. We ended up at a Cristian thrift store. When we first got there I was so excited to find some cute and inexpensive items. I went to the "wedding dresses" rack and was surprised to see the prizes on some very beat up and OLD dresses. I pull one up and showed it to my FM and she laughed to hear these outrageous prices. The 'cheapest' one there was for $100.00 but the poor dress looked like it was falling apart and I couldn't even tell what color it was (don't think that color really exists).  Oh well, I wasn't there for that anyway. (LOL)

Then there was a large golden box that caught my eye. Through an opening you can see what it was and at that exact moment my FM said "That's a wedding dress." Curiously, I opened the box, pulled out the dress (as much as I could) and saw how GORGEOUS it was. I tought "I wonder how much this one is..." My FM & I figured it be alot seeing how good of condition it was in (like new), not to mention how beautiful. She said "Try it on." I'm thinking 'yeah right'. I gave in and bit my lip. As the worker carried the 'heavy' (long tail) gown to the dressing room she tells me "Well, if it fits than it's meant to be." So I'm thinking it's going to be too small or too big.

When I slipped into it, I asked my FM to zip me up and she said "It's a perfect fit. This dress was especially made for you." And it was, because I felt like a princess in it. Now, at this point we still didn't know how much the cost would be. My FM asked the worker..... the worker had to confirm because it had just been brought out not too long before we walked in..... the supervisor comes out from the back and says "How much are you willing to pay for it?" I said, "Honestly, I am just wondering because I don't even have any money for it right now." She said, "Give me $50. dollars." (I think I almost cried.) My FM said "Ok, we'll take it.... Consider this my wedding present to you."

***I have more than what I expected for my dress. I knew at that moment that the Lord had sent me a helping hand in all of them... my FM, the ladies at the cristian store and the 'bride' who donated that dress.***

I know, that was very sweet of his mother, wasn't? Well, 'elliemae' I began planning (in my head) my wedding even before HE KNEW he loved me. Becuase I knew way before he did... LOL.

I can't post pics of it yet, cause it's actualy in my FM's house, she is holdng it for me. It's WHITE (please don't ask) with embroidery and sparklies (not really sure how to describe it lol) but it has the most beautiful long tail... I LOVE IT! The only thing is, it's long sleev and I am not too sure I want to keep it like that or alter it (CONFUSED).
