Yup. You read that right. The morning after the wedding, my dress was “taken” from our hotel suite. The hotel confirmed that neither my husband nor I are seen carrying the dress out of the room. Yet, they aren’t allowing me to review the footage, nor will they say if anyone else went into our room. I’m so sad about this! We filed a police report, but with other crime like murder, rape and drugs, a missing and used wedding dress isn’t exactly a priority for them!
Have any of you heard of this happening before?
Fortunately, I got to wear it. And, one of my “teaser” pictures is of the dress. 🙂 I feel I’m being ridiculous to be so upset about this..but COME ON! It was my wedding dress!

@Tess63110: I’m guessing it was an employee if they aren’t telling you.

That’s the most horrible thing I’ve ever heard! I am so sorry, and I’d be livid with the hotel manager/people in charge of the security footage.

@Tess63110: I would be SO upset! I had a wedding nightmare about this… my dress was stolen before the ceremony. It’s so scary to know that it can actually happen!! What an awful person who would do that.

On ya its an employee. WTF why would anyone want to steal that?

Oh my, OP I’m so sorry. It’s not ridiculous to be upset about this, I would too ! This can only be an employee. I hope they have proof somewhere. Wishing you the best ! *hugs*

@Tess63110: Oh my god! That is horrific! Some people are so low! How do you take such a sentimental piece from someone’s life like that!!! Gggrrrrrrrr! And that’s crazy how you can’t review the security footage. Did they give you a reason why?
Hang in there sweetie and try to stay positive. Don’t let the douche bag who took your dress ruin the memories for you. Let yourself grieve over the loss (you are not being ridiculous for doing so) and then move on. You’re married!! Yay!!!! 🙂

If somone could gain access to steal your dress, I would also be concerned with somone gaining access to hotel rooms to do worse.
I would threaten to go to the media or something if they do not allow you to see footage. This is a serious safety issue IMO.
I am so sorry you have to go through this nonsense! How awful 🙁

I’d tell them they obviously have something to hide since they won’t let you see the footage and that you will get a lawyer involved if the dress is not returned in excellent condition and drycleaned OR they need to pay for the missing dress.
It was obviously an employee. I’d be livid, I’d threaten to take it to the news channels also.

@Tess63110: I’m so sorry! How awful. I hope the police are able to do something.

Agree.. I would call the manager and threaten to take this to all media outlets.

What a horrible thing to happen! I agree with PPs, I also think it must have been an employee if they are not letting you see the footage.
