My MoriLee 4911 dress was proclaimed as having wide tank straps on a few website descriptions but in a 16 they end up being only about 1/2″ wide at the top. That’s just not going to cut it for my 38G bra straps. I was thinking if I could order the same decoration as on the top of the dress to add to the shoulder it would cover the bra straps. The tank style is the only reason I bought that dress. I don’t think there is enough seem material to open up wider. My brastraps have been a subject of visibility and scrutiny for the last 21 years… why hide them now it seems.

can you wear a corset with a low back instead of a bra? or have cups attached to the dress?

That sucks, in the picture it really does seem like they would be much wider. Have you had a tailor look at it? Sometimes they can work magic even if you think there isn’t enough fabric. If not they could still probably tell you what the best option is to fix it.

Go hunting in the bra section. Try Nordstrom? They have all manner of bras in all manner of sizes… I’m a 30G, and I have at least one bra (Panache, or Cleo) with very thin straps.

its such a dissapointment, I specifically bought it because of the tank straps. I’m way too big for just cups and a corset would have me in pain (I’ve worn them before when I was 50 lbs lighter and three cups sizes smaller and was bruised for a while after.) I don’t get why designers don’t cut at least proportionately bigger for the bigger sizes either. I have to lose 3″ in the chest to get it to fit correctly and remove the boning in the cups to not be pointly above the top of my boobs. The thinnest part is just out of view. I realized I didn’t get a picture after I was alone and not held in.
