small hook and eye closure to make the fabric or button lay flat
Well, you could rip the whole zipper out and either put it back in and have it recess more with some extra trim, just leave it out and add extra fabric to where the buttons are your main closure (slightly less secure), add some extra looping to the button holes (tedious... oh so tedious) or... just let it go because you are the only one who will notice it (I PROMISE!) 
oh I see. It almost looks like it is sewn on differently than the rest. Is it? Truthfully, NOBODY will notice that. butif it really bothers yo, check if it is sewn on the same as the rest (the metal loop on the back is in the same position as the other ones) Does it do that when you have it on? It could just be the slack fabric.
Ooooh the pictures didn't load the first time. I just assumed there were already loops over the buttons. Somethign like this...

I'm not sure if this is so minor that only I notice it, but it slightly bothers me. My dress zips up the back from my derriere to my lower back. It has buttons over the zipper, and near the top of the zipper, a couple buttons don't lay flat. One in particular juts out, ever-so-slightly, exposing zipper. Any easy fixes?
