I know for a fact that when I went to bed at 3:30AM this morning, my e-ring was still in one piece. When I looked down about an hour ago, though, it was broken, and a piece was gone. This is what it looked like:
But now the middle diagonal piece is just plain gone. I spent thirty minutes scouring the office with all my coworkers to try and find it, but we can’t. I think I probably lost it here because I think I would have noticed earlier otherwise. I don’t know what to do. Darling Husband bought it on eBay from a jeweler in Israel, so we can’t exactly just bring it back to the store. He’s going to email them anyway to see what they say, though. We’re also going to show it to a friend of ours who is a jeweler to see what he can do. I’m so upset, though. I’ve spent the entire past hour trying (and failing) not to cry. 🙁

Oh no that sucks! I hope you find the piece and you’re able to fix it! 🙁

A ring broke? wow, never heard of that, but since you bought online, I guess it wasn’t made good enough to wear every day… maybe it was supposed to be an occasion ring, to be worn on special occasions only like maybe once a year? It does look pretty!

Oh no! I am so sorry! I hope that your insurance on the ring allows you to have it repaired or replaced easily and quickly!

aww so sorry! hope it all gets fixed and pronto!

@Brielle: I hadn’t gotten around to insuring it yet. 🙁
@happyface: The company had tons of very positive reviews, both on eBay and elsewhere. My husband did his research. It had nothing to do with the fact that be bought it online.

Wow, I have never heard of an ering just breaking…so sorry 🙁 How long have you had it for? That just doesn’t make sense

@Legallyblondiebride: I’ve had it for fifteen months now. Darling Husband had it in its box for a couple months before that.

@GreenEyedMoon: a lot of people post positive reviews on ebay if the transaction / shipping went well and it has nothing to do with the product.
a lot of other people will review a product when they’ve only had it for a few days and if it seems shoddy years later they don’t / or can’t go back and revise their reviews.
I always read reveiws before I buy online, but I take them with a grain of salt.
I’m so sorry this happened to you! you should at least contact the seller and give him this feedback. if he’s an honest guy, maybe he’ll try to fix it or somehow make it right.

Aww, that sucks! It does look like a delicate construction though. I hope there’s a way to fix it that won’t just break again.

Oh no!!!! I hope you find a way to get it fixed hun… I love your ring btw.

Aw that is so sad! I hope you find the missing piece.

Your ring is lovely, so sorry it broke, you should be able to get it fixed relatively cheap and fast from a local jeweller that does custom work.
Unfortunately the style of ring you have is more a “cocktail ring” and not meant for every day wear and definately not for sleeping in. I almost bought a right hand ring that was virtually identical and my own jeweller warned me against it if I wanted to wear it constantly, those welded on threads and thin bands are not meant to take the kind of wear and tear that daily use can dish out.

That really stinks :(.
Maybe a jeweler around your area could recreate the middle section. It would probably be the cost of gold, similar stones and labor. Coudln’t be TOO bad.
Hopefully the seller will get back to you with some kind of solution.
