Here's my princess cut solitare with a plain white gold wedding band. I love it!

@carrieknitscake:It's gorgeous!! and what is your husband's band made of? I REALLY like the matte look of it!
@akp0702: His band is a brushed palladium. He loves it. It's light while being stylish. It's funny. One of our friends and him have almost identical bands but different metals. Our friend's band is white gold and shiny, while my husband's is matte palladium. They were comparing rings and nearly got them confused since they were the same widths and almost the same look.
solitaires are my favorites too. OP - yours is the exact one i have fallen in love with.
I have bigger fingers too. I wear an 8 and mines 1 ct. =)
Your ring is beautiful but just for clarification the classic Tiffany setting is 6 prongs not 4.
Gorgeous ring! :-)
Here are mine on a size 7 finger, my engagement ring is a .20-.22 solitaire & my wedding band is a .25 half eternity band:

My love proposed back in July on the beach in the most perfect way/spot ever. We'd been ring shopping and I thought I always knew I wanted a classic solitaire in a Tiffany setting. We went to look at rings last December, just to make sure that was what I wanted. I'll admit, I was tempted by the trendy halos, but I couldn't resist the timeless look of the solitaire. The person helping us said "I'm so surprised you're choosing that. I always try to tell brides to think of something they'll love in twenty years, not just something that is trendy now. I try to tell them that the solitaire is the most classic way to go". He was so shocked and impressed that the solitaire was what I knew I wanted.
Obviously there are SO MANY gorgeous rings. But mine is perfect for me. 1.2 carat round colorless (slightly blue) diamond, no inclusions, can't remember the clarity but it is one of the highest three in a classic Tiffany setting. I have very annoyingly chubby fingers, this is a 7 ring size (had to get it sized up slightly to a 7.25, but this is before that adjustment) and my fingers are swollen in the picture
