So I don’t get my dress until the end of April, just a month before the wedding. No time to change anything if something goes wrong. Meanwhile the anxiety is killing me. I had second guessing issues that were commented on extensively on this board. I figured I might feel much better about it when I see the dress again…But the dress is nowhere to be seen!
The store called me this week to let me know my swatch arrived and I was like great, excuse for me to make the one hour drive and see my dress again in person. But then I found out my dress had only come in for the trunk show and went back with the designer 🙁 No other store carries it because it’s a brand new 2010 model. Obviously no other bride has worn it. It’s not even advertised on the designer’s website yet. Thus, the elusive dress!
When ordering the swatch they asked me if my dress had beading and I can’t even remember that. Can’t tell from the crappy photos I took either. I see some sparkle in there I think but not sure…Oh if only I could see her and touch her again. How do you ladies wait soooo long? I know it’s only a dress, and it’s not a life-and-death matter, and you gotta get your priorities straight and all that but still…I can’t stop obsessing about it.
On the bright side, I think I’ll be one of the first people to ever wear the dress at my wedding, think that’s kinda cool 🙂

I hope you get to see your dress soon! Mine came in a lot earlier than it was supposed to.

Thanks MissAsb, I sure hope so.

I know how you feel! My dress didn’t have the sample in white, so I’ve only ever seen it in a champagne color. The sample the store had was so beat up it’s lost a lot of it’s shape. Plus, I’ve never seen any “real” person in a picture of the dress! So, basically, I am also impatiently waiting to finally see my dress for real.
It will definitely be cool to be one of the first brides to wear your dress though 🙂 So at least you have that!

Hopefully you will get it early! I was one of the first (I knew of) to wear my dress also – it was on the designers site and it was in some stores but Id never actually seen another bride wear it until after my wedding – it was a great feeling 🙂

Thanks ladies. I found a runway video of the 2010 collection but the dress only makes an appearance for a few seconds, and the model looks and walks like she’s getting ready to kick someone’s butt 🙂 Not the prettiest way to envision the dress. I’ll remember to smile and walk more gracefully when I finally get to wear it.

Oh wow. I also have a 2010 dress and am a little worried because it arrives very close to our date. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one worrying about this and glad you found a video of your dress.
Did you find the video on Brides.com? Mine’s also on there and I think the model wearing my dress looks unhappy too. Too funny!

Oh, I should check out Brides.com too, thanks for the tip! I found mine on theknot.com/tv . Really wonderful site, they have links to the 2010 runway shows from all the major designers.
