cls9q:  follow…. Im getting my hair and makeup trial done on Sunday and figured why not knock out some photos of me in the dress. My photographer is a great friend of mine and says she knows exactly what to do. If your photographer is a professional, they should be prepared and all you need to worry about is smiling! Lol<br />

Yes, same for engagement, just a bit more exaggerated. Also, make sure you get a good nights sleep, and put in some eyedrops for redness just to make your eyes pop a little bit more.

I just got mine done and we were both so nervous at first in front of the camera, we looked like we just met haha. Remember to act like you love each other. I did my makeup a liiiittle bit heavier than I normally do mine and it worked great. Be aware of poses that flatter you. Check each other for clothing imperfections like an exposed tie or flipped up shirt.

Most importantly, have fun! 🙂

cls9q:  Your photographer should be able to help you with poses. That’s what I was most nervous about, but she had it covered. She put us in the best spots and would take practice shots to make sure she had the best angle for us.

Some tips from things I remember about mine…

Loosen up! If you feel nervous and stiff then its going to come across in your pictures. One thing our photographer had us do when we started over thinking it was to spin around with each other. It felt absolutely ridiculous, but it did help us loosen up and get better pictures.

Try to laugh! When you’re making yourself smile for so long its going to start coming across as fake, so try to break out of that with a laugh.

If you are naturally goofy people, then be goofy! Some of my favorite pictures of us are when we weren’t trying to get the perfect picture.

Relax, and have fun!

cls9q:  Haha! My FI said the same thing. In fact I full believe he will drink a beer before the wedding pictures. Lmao.

The best photo advice is from my actual photographer. have a drink right before your photos. It’ll help you relax and loosen up. I love that in our engagement photos FI and I look very relaxed and natural, and not stiff and posed.

cls9q:  I would add eyeliner, false eyelashes and a bit bolder choice for lips. And even if it looks funny in person go just a tad heavier on the blush than you would normally.

We both had a glass of wine before hand. We were MISERABLY cold (it was 20 degrees and windy) but you couldn’t tell in the pictures. It took us about 15 minutes to warm up to being photographed. Then we stopped worrying about it and had a ton of fun. We shot for almost four hours.

Go a little heavier on the makeup than you would think. I thought I looked a bit tarty up close but i ended up looking lovely in the pictures.

I really reccommend the drink. Not to get drunk, just to feel nice and relaxed. The wine did wonders for us!

Make sure you are warm enough and comfortable!  I wore a cute jacket from my sister which didn’t actually fit as she is smaller than me. And, I was freezing! Consider you are just standing around. That being said, you can bring a big coat and wear it between shoots 🙂 I’m not sure what 60 is since I’m Canadian but whatnever it is make sure you are comfortable! *note: I was still really happy with my photos, but this is what I have learned!
