I got both my ering and band from eBay. Saved us over $1000. I heart eBay!

@CindyRelly: Wow you got a great deal–Its gorgeous!!!!!!!!

What shape is the center diamond? ๐Ÿ™‚

(Tips for pictures–Put your camera on macro mode, turn the flash off & walk outside in good natural light & snap away! Be careful not to be to shakey with the camera, just a little shake can make it go blurry.) Hope this helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, ladies. Mine’s not a diamond. But still. I can see others also make out pretty well through eBay! I really like the emerald cut. Just wish I weren’t such a clutz so I could pull off the pave design too! I have a good friend who got a marquise cut ruby as her engagement ring. Really unique and relatively cheap compared to a brick and mortar store!

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: I was just looking for pictures of your set. They look beautiful together! I was actually just on eBay looking for a channel set moissanite right hand ring for myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

My e-ring isn’t from ebay but my wedding band is. We saved over 50% by buying off of ebay rather than the jewellery store!

That’s really encouraging. I was going to buy a right-hand ring off there, but I am so afraid that the stats they give would be wrong. Plus, it was discouraging to see so many dingy diamonds. I’m not talking about near-colorless or “warm” stones…I am talking about mop-water-colored.

If you don’t mind, what was the name of the jeweler you dealt with on there? I’d be much more likely to buy knowing that someone here had a good experience.

My ring is from ebay,  waiting for it to arrive.   (Only ordered 2 days ago )

it was from a seller with 100% feedback with over 1,000 transactions,  but to also make doubly sure, i emailed 2 of the buyers that had bought the same ring as me, asking them what the quality was like and they were both really pleased with the ring and the whole transaction.

the ring is coming from israel.

this is my ring,  a 0.60ct, H colour VSI 1-2.   $600   (£390)….(i tried  0.40 carats on in jewellers here in UK  and they cost close to £1,000)  and this is 0.60!

i will have it appraised when i receive it.

Mine! Although Fiance didn’t get it from a jeweler, it came from a guy who got dumped.

Appraised for $12k, purchased for ~$4k.
