I think that is awesome! It is unique and different and I LOVE IT! & potentially may have to steal it! LOL! :D Not to mention, it is a guestbook you will actually look at and enjoy at least once a year. :)
That's actually pretty cool! Are you going to incorporate it in your decor/theme for the wedding or just have them at table for guests to sign?
I think it is a very cute idea, but I don't know how many of your guests would want to spend that much time autographing and decorating them. Maybe it work better for a bridal shower.
Favor or guestbook? Do the guests get to keep something? I'm confused about it for a favor, but I LOVE it as a guestbook. Christmas is pretty much my favorite thing ever, and that would be so special to your family to have them to always remember.
Just as a guestbook. For favors, we're doing individual 4 oz jars of homemade pear jam using the pears from our tree. We're only having 50 guests. They don't have to sit and decorate them for hours, they can just sign them. We got the idea after seeing a ceramic plate for people to sign instead of the actual book.
Thanks, Bees!! Feel free to steal!
I think it's a very creative idea but i agree with Noritake22 about this being time consuming for most guests. Be prepared not to have each guest actually do one and also be prepared to have a lot of plain ones, (with maybe just their name and a "congrats").
I do think this is a better idea for a shower.
I had the same concerns about the whole time consuming thing. We didn't buy enough for each guest, as we anticipate not everyone might do one and we're totally fine with just a signature, we might decorate them ourselves later (we love making ornaments.)
Fabulous idea! It won't be a book that is tossed in the back of a closet somewhere! :)
That is a great idea for an alternative to a guestbook! Make sure to have your parents and attendants sign theirs early and have them set out on the guestbook table to let people know what you want done. Also have several pens handy. Be aware that no matter what type of guestbook you have, there will be some folks who refuse to participate and you can't force them.
Oh, totally. We're going to have someone at the table to explain things anyway.
Feel great about it now Bees, thank you!
I love the idea! I would try to have some pens and ornaments placed in a couple of places, so people aren't having to stand in line to wait until someone else finishes. Such a great idea!
Great Idea... I would put those out before the liquor though :) hehe.
I think it's a very cute idea! Especially with a smaller guest list, I think your guests will really enjoy something a little different!
LOVE this idea! I totally wish I had known about this sooner (our wedding is this Saturday).
LOVE IT!! What a neat way to celebrate Christmas every year... by remembering the best day of your life while decorating a tree?! That is really neat. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

So I was at Michaels this weekend with my mom and MOH when my mom FLIPPED OUT over this idea. Each guest/couple signs and decorates one of the ornaments in lieu of signing a guest book. That way, we can enjoy the "guestbook" every year when we decorate our Christmas tree.
What do you Bees think???
