As a waiting bee, I have spent hours upon hours deciding upon my dream ring. I found two that I really liked, and one has becomming slightly my favorite, the other becomming slightly his favorite.
My favorite: M&Co’s Eng213. I would be getting the 1.5 equivalent in palladium/enhanced.
His favorite: M&Co’s Eng206. This would be the 1.25 equivalent in palladium/enhanced.
Now – I do love his choice. It’s gorgeous, and he believes it is the better looking of the two. I have always wanted a halo, but something about the first one’s rose details, I just love. I think I am worried that his favorite (Eng206) will be too much for me as I don’t wear a ton of jewelry as it is. It’s also more expensive, so my frugal side remembers that too.
He will be making the final choice between these two and I won’t know until the question is finally asked, but just trying to see others opinions and I’m trying to get over the price difference/worry of the second one being too much in case he does choose it.
So bees, what are your thoughts?

@FutureMrsDM: I’m a halo girl all the way. I love his choice!

Sorry but I LOVE the split shank and the halo!

I’m not a fan of halos, your favorite is so classic almost vintage-y feeling. I love it! And afterall you’ll be wearing it not him!

I love the rose details on the first one too! Both are stunning rings, though 🙂

I love your choice! The rose details on the side are so femine and romantic!

Have you tried on similar styles in a store to actually know which one you prefer? This may significantly alter your preferences. Just a thought.
Of the two, I prefer the one he is leaning toward. But I have a thing for halos… on other people. I love halos when I see others wear them, but they just feel wrong when I try to wear one myself.
And as a discussion of the principle of the issue, I think that the preference of whomever will be wearing the ring on a daily basis should “win”.

@FutureMrsDM: neither are my style so it’s hard to say what I like better, but you are the one who will be wearing it, not him – he should be getting the one you like!

I love your choice 🙂 The detailing is so gorgeous and really “makes” the ring. If you’re not used to jewelry and don’t wear big pieces, you might be a bit overwhelmed with the second choice. Try them on first (if you can). I’m like you and don’t wear a lot of jewelry so I like the more delicate looking rings 🙂 Good luck!

you should get the one YOU like more. You have to wear it every day.

I love the split shank and halo, always have but when I went to try some on didn’t love splits on my finger 🙁 so have you tried on both styles with him so he can get an idea of which would better suit your finger too? They’re both beautiful!

Thanks guys! I do think he will end up with whatever one I say I love more. I couldn’t picture him knowing I preferred one and getting the other instead. But I have had so many people agree with his choice that I second guess mine!
@lovekiss: I wish I could try on these rings, but with Moissanite & Co, it’s online obviously and I contacted them to see if I could get wax molds sent and based on the designers who made these particualr rings, they couldn’t. :/ I could go to any jewlery store to try on similar styles! Great idea 🙂

I prefer your choice, which also should give you much more flexibility in choosing a wedding band that will fit flush against it.

I love the first one. It is gorgeous and seems more out of the ordinary to me, which I love. Yeah the more I look at them I strongly favor the first one. BUT of course all that really matters is that you’re getting married and that’s so exciting! 🙂 Have you for sure decided to leave it up to him entirely? If so, I hope you love both rings equally, you don’t want to leave yourself open to feeling a sliver of disappointment. I agree with what others have said that your opinion should hold more weight than his. If they cost the exact same amount, which one would you choose?
