Sorry, just wanted to share.
After 4 years since finishing his undergrad and a year since he finished his master’s degree in sports administration, my FI is finally leaving his current job in retail. He has been an Operations Manager at an office supply store for the past 7 years and he hates it.
Well, after about 30+ applications and multiple interviews at various organizations, he has received an offer and accepted it! He will be teaching Physical Education and coaching high school students. It’s a perfect match for him right now (he wants to be an Athletic Director one day, but has to start somewhere).
The best part is, we will be working for the same charter school system! I do marketing/recruiting for the middle and high school. Now we will be on the same schedule (for vacations/school breaks) and he will work a normal work week–thank goodness!
After so many years of inconsistent work schedules, weird hours and crazy customers, he is so relieved to leave retail. Teaching will be a new venture for him, but he is ready to take on the challenge. He is so excited to start a career finally.
Lesson here for bees struggling with employment….don’t give up!! It may take a while, but please don’t lose hope, you never know when it will work out!
