Ordered it, paid for it (not very expensive) and is now wearing it on his right hand to “get used to it”. I’m fine with all of this, but now he wants a nicer ring with some diamonds because he wants his ring to look nice next to mine in pictures lol. I didn’t know men could have ring regret! I’m mostly surprised because he’s so humble and doesn’t care for such things. I’m not upset or anything of the sort, but I can’t help but giggle at not knowing this side of him. Anyone else experieace anything like this? What were you surprised to learn about your SO during wedding planning?

@CestTresJolie14: That is seriously the cutuest thing. He wants his own bling! Too sweet.
I’m learning mine is far more traditional then I had thought. Who knew?

@CestTresJolie14: my husband was SO picky about his ring. Luckily I made him come shopping with me because the ring I had picked (I thought he would like) he hated. Hahaha

My husband is the exact opposite – he wanted simple and indestructible. He already has a ring he wears on his right hand that has a diamond (it was his grandfather’s ring).

Haha my husband lloves black diamonds! I thought he’d like something plain but apparently not! Though his current fave is one from etsy that has yellow, red, and white gold… Oh, did I mention he’s indecisive?

My fi and I just picked out our wedding bands. Going in he said he wanted anything but gold, and he didn’t like the light silver color he wanted he darker grey. He ended up with a white gold (obviously silver color) with 5 diamonds in it. He is not a flashy guy at all, so it was very surprising, but like yours he wanted a little flash next to mine.

When we bought H’a wedding ring it was diamonds all around it. About 3 weeks later he decided he didn’t like and and bought a more downplayed, traditional ring. Men can be quite silly sometimes.

My FI wants a funky wedding band and that completely surprised me. He’s not an “accessories” kinda guy, and is a pretty plain (and picky) dresser, so when he decided he wanted a band that had a wood or carbon fibre inset in it, I was totally surprised. I thought he’d want a plain silver band. Guess he’s a fancy-pants after all! lol

- We’re a mixed race couple (he’s Caucasian, I’m Asian), so I was surprised that he wanted to wear an ethnic wedding outfit in line with my culture instead of a suit. So we got him the outfit and he loved it…
- He was really adamant about the cake flavor. I just wanted it to taste good whatever it was, so I let him take care of it.
DH was attentive of every other wedding aspect about the same amount as I did and was a HUGE help, but those two were the surprising ones.

@CestTresJolie14: I think that’s adorable! I haven’t planned too much with FI yet, but he’s pretty keen on a meteor/dinosaur bone wedding band, and then he also likes simpe bands.
My man is just as indecisive as me!

- Wedding: November 2013 - St. Augustine Beach, FL
@CestTresJolie14: We ordered my husband a ring early in the planning process. When we received it, I could tell he was disappointed. It just seemed cheap and nowhere near being nice enough to wear on a daily basis. He was already iffy about wearing a ring at all so I was disappointed because I figured he wouldn’t be wearing a wedding ring.
We agreed to go shopping for a new ring to see if he liked anything else. When we got to the jewelry store I immediately spied a ring I really liked but I didn’t want to influence his decision so I stayed quiet. After trying on a few rings he saw the one I liked. As soon as he tried it on I could tell he really liked it; he even seemed a little excited about it. It was out of our price range but I told him we would figure out how to pay for it because I could tell he really liked it and then I told him that it was the ring I liked the best in the case and I hoped he would like it too.
Now that we’re married he still loves his ring and he wears it everyday. I am so glad that we found something he liked and then splurged a bit to buy it.

My FI didn’t know that men’s wedding rings could have diamonds. His face lit up when I told him that, yes, they do in fact have men’s wedding rings with diamonds and we can definitely get you one. Then he had the hardest time choosing with the billion links I sent him so he just said “Pick one for me in my size.” I’m pretty sure he also forgot his size.

My husband actually has two tungsten rings…one is a combo of shiny and brushed metal and the other is black. He said he wanted two because I had two. I think it is cute!:)

My FI is super picky about his ring, he hasn’t liked anything in store or in pictures. We will be custom making his ring- who knew he would be so particular! He also wants diamonds, but in a manly understated way (not like his dad’s football style bling rings lol)
He also has been pretty vocal about not wanting a first look, I was ok with them for logistics and we are fairly untraditional, so this was sort of funny to me that of all things e card about, not seeing me until i walk down the aisle was one of them.
