We were spending new years eve watching movies with my little sister. Five minutes before midnight we broke out the sparkling grape juice (yes, we're underage, hah.) Toasted to the new year at the stroke of twelve, kissed, then the next thing I knew he was on one knee. We've been talking about it alot and I knew he had the ring in his posession, but I was SO not expecting it. The ring is breath taking! He is so amazing and I am so insanely happy.
We were talking the other day about how a promise ring means "I love you" and an engagement ring means "I know you" and I feel like that is exactly what we have. We've been together over three years and for every moment of my life, I'd like him to be right there next to me. There is NO ONE on this earth who allows me to feel as perfectly comfortable as he does. I hope that every single person gets to feels this way at some point in their lives, because even if they do for only a moment, they are so deeply blessed. I am more lucky to have him than words can describe.
And of course I took a picture of my ring. ;)
SERIOUSLY?!? This is getting a little embarrassing. Haha. I'll try 2 sizes.

Actually it's a lab created ruby. As all of us who have spent countless hours obsessing over rings know, lab created, oddly enough, doesn't mean fake. It has the exact same chemical make-up as a natural ruby, but humans have helped it along it's way. I personally loved the idea from the get go. Ruby is my birthstone, and to get a ruby that looks like an insanely perfect Burmese ruby for a fraction of the cost? MOS DEF! Haha. I'm glad you guys approve!
