Gorgeous! Thanks for the review - this will definitely help a lot of people!
Love 'em! And thanks for the review- I have fifty flowers book marked and think we'll probably order at least some of our flowers from them!
They turned out great! I was also thinking about ordering from fiftyflowers for our reception flowers but was kind of worried since I had only ever heard reviews. Thanks for posting pictures!
I'm glad you posted this! I am going to be ordering our flowers from there!
i am thinking of ordering flowers from here. so you got your flowers four days ahead? were they fine for the wedding? how did you store them?
i ask this because my wedding is on a tuesday and i can only get the flowers delivered to me on the saturday. i am freaking out that they will die before then. how did yours hold up?
Wow! Those look amazing. Great review!
They look great!! I am so glad you posted this, and now I am seriously considering doing the same thing for my wedding flowers!
Thanks for the review! I have been checking out a lot of flower wholesalers lately and the whole thing it making me nervous! Glad to see everything worked out for you!
they look great! thanks for sharing your experience- it makes ordering your own flowers a lot less daunting.
They look great! I have been thinking about ordering from there as well. Can you tell me how many roses you used in each centerpiece? My containers look to be similar in size.
Ditto on the thanks for posting! Yesterday after I told a someone about doing my own arrangements, she said "flowers can really make or break a wedding, you know?" and I've been all worried since then! I feel like I can definitely do it, but this made me even more confident!
Thanks!

Now that things have settled down post-wedding I wanted to give everyone a follow up on my experience with Fiftyflowers.com.
I originally posted here about the delivery:
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-fiftyflowerscom-delivery-is-here
I was very happy with the delivery process. After I received the delivery I got a call from Fiftyflowers to make sure that I had them and that I was completely clear on what to do with them through the process.
I did as directed and made the initial diagonal cuts underwater and placed them in buckets of water w/ food and left them for 48 hours. Note: Fiftyflowers recommended I have them delivered on Thursday for a Saturday wedding but I'm glad I got them on Wednesday to give them extra time to open.
So 48 hours later I was ready to do my arrangements. I had a lot of help from MIL and DH on making the centerpieces and I think it took maybe an hour and a half to make 13 of them.
Now I live in an old house that tends to stay cool this time of year. I think this may have been a factor in how much the flowers opened up. When I got ready to make the centerpieces they were still way too tight for what I wanted. I did a few internet searches to see what my options were for forcing them open. I opted not to do the warm water method bc I wasn't sure how warm to make them and I really didn't want to wait. I ended up using my fingers to manually force them open ala the demonstration given here:

This was a little scary at first but roses are way more durable than I would have thought. This was the slowest part of the entire process and it took several hours for me to do all 200 of them by myself.
To put the centerpieces together I cut a large block of floral foam for each vase with a small amount of water. After that it was very quick to eyeball the cuts and the foam made it possible to easily adjust for the height I wanted.
I initially was going to go for a loose casual arrangement but wasn't happy with that look and ended up with a more modern tight packed look that I loved.
In summary I have to say that I was very happy and impressed with the service and the quality of flowers that I received. We placed the flowers at the reception hall on Friday and filled them with water once they were in place. My family took the flowers home after the reception and they still looked amazing after we returned from our honeymoon 8 days later. I have never seen roses last that long!
I hope these pics help anyone that is having any doubts about ordering your own flowers.
