Looks great! Wish I had had the time and patience to do that with my invitations!
OMG This is seriously AWESOME!!! I never thought of this... but I'm doing so much DIY. How long did it take you?
Making the template was probably the thing that took longest, that took me about 30 mins! And the only reason it took a while was that i had to figure out how to get hold of dimensions. The rest was really easy. Using the corner rounder saves a ton of time when cutting out the shapes of the liners.
I didn't find it time consuming at all. I only did a few last night to see if ot would be hard. I wasn't so I will likely breeze through the rest tonight with some wine for company!

I am not a crafty person at all, but as I have a year to my wedding I have decided to try my hand at a few DIY projects. I figure that if I find that DIY is not for me, then I will have enough time to go a more generic route.
I thought it would be best to ease myself in by working on the envelopes for our Save The Dates. Last night I started off making envelope liners. It was remarkably easy, and will hopefully give me the confidence to push forward with other things.
I made the template for the liner from some cardstock. I followed Martha Stewarts instructions for creating the outline:http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/lining-envelopes because I am cheap and I didn't want to buy a plastic template :)
Then I got some plain black envelopes from Paper Presentation. They also had some yellow wrapping paper which looked nice and bright, and at $5 for the roll, I couldn't resist.
Then I traced the template and cut out the liners. I used scissors to cut out the liners, and a corner rounder to get the perfect round corner as suggested by Miss Lobster.
I used a Craft Stick from 3M to stick the liner down as I found this much beter than both glue sticks and roll on adhesive.
