Aww lovely!! Ya know what- DIY’s always feel so much more personal to me. It adds more of a special touch or feeling to the wedding and the couple that it’s about. I don’t equate it to being cheap at all. Yes there can be some tackyness if done in a certain way but these save the dates are too cute!
I’d love to see more DIY projects you do – I’m definitely a DIY Bride too 🙂

very very pretty.
just a heads up. If the ribbon knot is too thick it will be extra postage. Also square envelopes cost extra as well. It’s crazy but you might want to take one to the post office to get weighed and measured first. If not amending it to a flat ribbon and/or making it rectangular might help if you are trying to save money.

jenny1217: okay since you’re open to suggestions can i suggest the following? the yellow paper and the light color border/bow is too similar in color. i’d pull some colors from your wedding theme palate and use those instead to make it pop. if you’re colors are more vintage/nutural, i’d go with a color – pale pink, pale green etc – to make the yellow paper stand out a bit more. i would chose two types of fonts to give the type more of a visual contrast. otherwise looks good 🙂

I wouldn’t capiltalize the A in “Are.” It’s the continuation of a sentence, not the start of a new one. I edit and write for a living though, and I am abnormally picky about those things.

Gabrielle713: thank you! I know I love seeing where my creative side can take me lol and it is a nice personal touch!
MrsTtoB: yes, thank you, but thankfully they came with envelopes (make your own greeting cards pack at Michaels) I just cut them in half and that’s the top and the bottom is glitter card stock cut into smaller pieces! And the bows are practically weightless, but thank you!
ScubaSiren: thank you! Yes
it looks way more yellow then it should do to the old yellow lights at my job lol but here it is against a white background, and also the inspiration STD! Thank you for your feedback though!
