Oh and I am the day after you p.s. yey we are almost at the year mark!
They're so pretty! I love the floral design & those colors look great together.
I love the colors you used. The satin ribbon actually gives it a nice polished look. Great job! :o)
those are really nice! I wish I had waited and done somethig special, but I was too excited to wait! I just phoned the girls and asked :)
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to do more projects, but I'm trying to spread them out so I have a year's worth of fun (planning and craft projects are two of my favorite things).
Other things I plan to make:
Bridal suite door sign, save the date magnets, invitations, RSVP cards, custom envelopes, place cards, table numbers and centerpieces for the rehearsal dinner, reception and Sunday luncheon, card box, signs for program table, gift table, guest book table and custom bathroom door signs, buffet signs, water bottle stickers, napkin rings, embellishing my dress if I can't find the perfect one for the right price, sewing appliques and beads on a pair of peep toe pumps for custom shoes, making beaded flowers to wear in my hair and a homemade veil, building a custom cupcake stand and ceremony arch, table camera sleeves, bathroom baskets, out of town gift bags, favors for rehearsal dinner and reception, bridesmaid survival kits, programs, thank you cards, and helping my mom and aunts with all the flowers for all the event. I also already designed my own website, which is almost done.
It's going to be a fun year!
Wow you will be busy! Keep us updated with pics and stuff on your projects!

Hello fellow brides to be!
I found this website over the past weekend while looking for fun DIY projects, and it's just great, tons of wonderful info.
I thought that as my first post, I'd share my first DIY project, Wedding Party Invites. I mainly did it to test out the paper samples I ordered for making my invitations. These were pretty easy, I did the layout in PhotoShop, with a couple different options (first picture), then printed on my deskjet on 8.5 x 11 card stock, cutting it in half to create 2 cards per sheet. I then took heavier cardstock that was lightly textured and cut it into about 1' strips and glued it around the cards, followed by a piece of ribbon. I had wanted to use brown raffia, but couldn't find the right color at the craft store, so used matte satin instead. Final cards are pictured in the second picture below, both with and without the wrap.
