Tonight was my first fitting, and I just LOVE my dress.... now we need to figure out how to keep my face and chest from getting all blotchy when I walk down the aisle (you can see in the pic that i was getting flushed). this is the Romona Keveza Legends L196. Yay!! Next fitting in November.
Anyone else have fitting pictures, for upcoming winter weddings?
Wow! I love your dress too!! It looks great on you already. :)
thanks! I'm wearing my mother's veil, which is a cathedral length mantilla, but no pictures with that yet. 2 more months to go!!
you look gorgeous!
I have the splotchy/red/flush problem too. Anything scratchy sets me off. I'm thinking of taking Claritin or other antihistamine that day. I've even gone as far as thinking of draping a dinner napkin or hanky over my Dad's elbow so his suit doesn't set me off while we walk down the aisle!
Thank you. I highly recommend it to anyone "busty." I'm a 32DD, and the neckline on this dress really covers me so no one can see too much cleavage.
Kelly, that's a smart idea to take claritin- I will definitely do that! my problem is nerves make my blotchy.... basically i think i',m going to have to airbrush my chest with foundation to avoid it. I look like a picnic blanket otherwise!
You look absolutely stunning in that dress!
And don't worry about being flushed. Makeup can take care of a lot of it and you will be a beautiful blushing bride!
thanks everyone! so the big question- jewelry? My hair will be up and I will be wearing earrings and the bracelet I have on in the picture. Necklace or no necklace?
That dress is gorgeous on you. You have definetly found your dress. I'd say necklace.
Definitely wear your hair up. That neckline is fantastic. I'd suggest no necklace, and maybe some blingier earrings.
You look beautiful though! I am a splotchy person too, especially when I get nervous. I am taking a claritin the day of as well. It's suggested to take them the whole week of the wedding, to make sure you don't have any adverse side effects, like drowsiness, etc.
I hadn't thought about getting my chest area airbrushed. I am definitely going to ask my make up artist about that!
I checked with our makeup artist, and she told me that airbrushing isn't going to really work, since I'm very pale to begin with. She recommended taking an antihistamine.
You look great! I have my final fitting photos for my December wedding. My dress comes with the optional strap...I haven't decided what to do yet!
ooh, i love the flower strap! maybe you could do it without for the ceremony, and with for the reception?
and at the second fitting....the seamstress pricked her finger pinning me and smudged blood all over the lace. Sigh...what's a girl to do?!
Well, supposedly they got the blood out- but i haven't seen it yet. Next fitting is Saturday so hopefully no bloodstains.
And here she is--- my dress on her big day!! I LOVED this dress. Now I'm faced with the dilemma: sell it or keep it? Not as though I'm going to wear it again, but I just can't bear parting with it. hmm...
@winterwedding10: Is your dress the ivory lace with ivory underlay or blush underlay? It is really pretty!
