Welcome to the hive!
When we were planning our wedding I was finishing up my degree by taking 25 credit hours(took my last exam the day before our wedding), working full time, and was in the process of joining the Air Force. For about six months I wasn't very balanced :) If you have a clear idea of what you want, I think it makes it easier. Once you know what you want to do, you just have to find out how to do it and weddingbee is a great resource for that. Enjoy this time, you'll miss it when it's over.
Congrats on your engagement! Sounds like you're primed to start a planning blog of your own--it would the perfect way to accomplish your goals of organizing and sharing your ideas. You should look into some of the blogging websites like blogspot--it's pretty easy to get started. Good luck!
I actually do have a wedding website to share with family and friends- I used Wordpress.com for it. The problem I ran into right away though was that I didn't want to completely let the cat out of the bag and share tons of details with my guests before they got to the wedding- I wanted there to be some amount of surprise! So I am really excited to be able to share what I want to with them on that blog and share all the nitty gritty details with everyone else on here!

Hello all! I'm so exciting to start wedding blogging! I've really been wanting a way to:
1. keep all my ideas organized in one place
2. share my ideas with other brides and hear their thoughts
3. have a place to get all my wedding planning thoughts out there without spilling the beans to friends and family who will be at my wedding! Not that I think the whole thing has to be secretive and a surprise to everyone, but I also don't want them to know every detail before they even get there!
A quick few tid-bits about me:
I'm 23 and I just graduated from college 10 months ago. My fiance is still finishing up school, but only has 3 months to go. I work full time for a non-profit organization doing event planning and I absolutely LOVE my job! I also have a very much part-time job working with another non-profit organization and I love that one too. I was extremely fortunate to work almost full-time at the one organization while I finished college and then found the full-time job with the other organization just 3 months after graduation.
The above being said, me and the future husband don't have a lot of extra time on our hands to spend wedding planning- but we're doing what we can!
How do you balance wedding planning time and work time and fun time?
