Ikea is definately an adventure! I always get overwhelmed after an hour b/c it feels like theres no way out of that store!
Hooray! I heart Ikea! Good buys, the lanterns are tres adorables!
I have to drive for an hour and a half AND take a 90 minute ferry ride to get to the closest store. I still do it several times a year because I'm obsessed with it :)
Ohhh LOVE Ikea. I can walk around for ever, but oddly enough, I rarely buy anything there! They have some weird, awesome exotic plants there though. I once got a pineapple plant from them! ;) It grew one baby pineapple and then died. Love your finds! Neat lanterns
How do you like the lanterns? I'm thinking about getting them for my wedding as well!
We have the same lanterns as decor in two of our rooms! I'll never forget the first time FI took me to IKEA. It was so overwhelming. We're about two hours from one here, but we do make it an allday trip sometimes, and it's a must whenever we're visiting his parents back in MI.
great finds. The first time I took FI to Ikea he said it was like a furniture theme park. hahaha I love going there. Luckily we have two within a short distance.
i know ladies it was an all day trip and i only got to walk the first floor because i was to tired to go for the second floor. it was so great but a very dangerous store (im afraid of spending so much)
Sounds like a great deal to me! I love those lanterns, so cute. What are you going to do with them after the wedding? Give them away to guests?
Hehehe, going to Ikea sure is an adventure. The first time I went to one I felt like I was in an amusement park, lol!
i love ikea! though i probably spend more time eating there than actually buying anything. lol
wendy in puerto rico the people are use to take the centerpieces with them... so the answer is yes the people will take them
That's so AWESOME! I LOVE IKEA! I'm so going to miss it when we move!
Ikea is awesome! I've been to a few Ikea workshops (they always feed you a delicious dinner from the restaurant, mmmm) and am actually using the tips from the flower arranging seminar for my centrepieces.
I just wish we had one in the Maritimes :( But it's still a kickass place to shop, for weddings and real life.
wow, i guess i take my ikea for granted (it's about 10 minutes away). i love ikea. those laterns are cute. i love the red/black/white color combo.
so so so cute :)
I have an iikea about 45 mins away and go every once in awhile with my mom! It is so fun but doesn't it take SO long to get through the whole store? almot impossible...an all day event!
great finds!!!
I love the little knick knacks that you can find in their "marketplace" (candles, kitchen gadgets, containers, etc...)
but beware! never buy their furniture! you seriously get what you pay for!! I feel like IKEA furniture is made for dirt poor college kids with no standards!
welcome to the wonderful world of IKEA! isn't it fantastic?? i could walk through the show rooms all day. and the prices are to die for! i will be making a trip there in about a month when we move into the new house... i have my sights set on some stuff already :)
I LOVE ikea for knick knacky stuff, but I feel like I've outgrown their furniture now. The two arm chairs I have are from there from a couple of years ago but I feel like I need to buy grown up stuff now!
LOVE Ikea! Unfortunately, the closet one to me is 2-3 hour drive one way! :( Its definately something I have to have a full day for! I try to make a special, once a year, trip with a friend or two. My FI has no idea why I love Ikea so much. I think i may be babbling! Hahaha...

I love Ikea. It takes so long to get through that store, it's such an adventure every time.
I do hate how you can't really order anything online from them, or if you do it's twice the price. I know online ordering isn't really what their business is set up to do. But I really don't want to drive the two hours there just to get candle holders!
I love IKEA. And I love that it will only be 15 minutes away once we move! We plan on going there shortly after the wedding to get whatever we need beyond our registry.
Awesome finds! Im going to have to go now and pick up the cake cutter.
I used to work at IKEA, so now I have a love/hate relationship with it from spending so much time planning kitchens for (seemingly always angry) people. But now that I am doing wedding stuff, I am back to love.
I bought those same tealight holders and my centerpiece containers. I was going to use the same lanterns in the galvanized steel, but when I burned a tealight in it, it got super hot to the touch, so be careful!
I am doing my centerpieces with their cute steel watering cans ($4.99) with sunflowers and little steel pails ($2.99) filled with lemons and limes.
i. love. ikea. :) i drool over their catalogues! their stuff is so cheap (for a reason sometimes) but its hard not to go in there for one thing and wander around for hours and end up spending thousands... *sigh*
and for the folks who have "outgrown" ikea - check out westelm - they are like an upscale ikea - the funiture has the same look and feel but isnt like particleboard!
I looove ikea! is it bad that i have seen everything you got? I go waaay too much lol
Some great finds here! I'll have to get my hands on one of those Envis cake servers! We're getting our vases for our centerpieces there at a great price.
