They will provide you with a bra and slip to wear with all the dresses.  So you really don’t need to bring anything.  They’ll let you try on a bunch.  You can look through their catalog (at the store) and circle ones you definitely want to try on.  If none of those are “the one”, they’ll pull other dresses you may like.

@Waitingbee57:  I wore my own strapless bra, but they have them for you to borrow, too!

Also, wear spanx or butt-covering panties because someone will be helping you change. They’ll let you try on like 10 dresses or so!

One of the nice things about David’s Bridal is they actually have different sized dresses in the store instead of having you try on a dress that may be several sizes too big for you & then clipping it in the back. The commenters before me pretty much covered it all, but I would have a friend bring a camera too to take pics. Seeing the dress on a catalog is SO much different than seeing it on and you’ll want to remember how the dresses looked on YOU, not the model.

My last bit of advice is have an open mind. I went in 98% sure I wanted a ball gown and hated mermaids, but it turns out, my dress is a mermaid. Listen to the consultants, they know lots! 🙂 Have a blast!
