I’ve been on my fitness pal for 5 days now and am already addicted! Here’s my questionnaire:
how long have you been tracking? 5 days
what was your start weight? 145.5 lbs @ 5,5″
whats your current weight? Down 1.5 lbs so far! Now 144lbs. Woop!
whats your goal weight? 120 lbs is my first goal. Im planning to see how I feel at 120 and then adjust accordingly.
how many calories does MFP allow you? 1330! At first I felt like that was nothing in comparison to my pre MFP diet (I’d always be at least double that!) but now I feel as long as I make healthy choice. I’m able to eat loads!
what food are you missing most? Cheese! Oh god the cheese!
whats your favourite low cal meal? Quorn sausages with carrot and swede mash! Or prawns cooked with 1 cal spray and Cajan spice!
What made you start MFP? I tried on my bridesmaids dress for my friends wedding and I felt awful in it! Plus seeing these pictures – no I’m not pregnant and I have no idea how I got so chunky!
So go ahead! Tell me how you’re doing, and give me any advice/tips!

Oh, how I love MFP. Fun survey!
how long have you been tracking? 2 years, on and off
what was your start weight? 245lbs, 5’11” (January 2013)
whats your current weight? 190!
whats your goal weight? 175ish
how many calories does MFP allow you? I’m funny with this. I have it set to 1200, but I run almost every day, buring around 400. So, daily, I eat about 1600. Even days I don’t run. Those days I go in the red, but I don’t care. I never, ever eat only 1200.
what food are you missing most? Well, currently I’m 4 days into the Whole30 challenge, so I’m missing a few different things, but normally, I don’t miss anything. I can have anything in moderation!
whats your favourite low cal meal? Sauteed chicken, mushrooms, onions, garlic and broccoli over brown rice or whole wheat pasta with parmesan and olive oil. SO GOOD.
What made you start MFP? I had gained a ton of weight, and it was free. I figured what the heck!

@FutureCuomo6610: 55 pounds! That is absolutely amazing! Well done! Do you feel better?
I think this is the time it’s really going to stick for me. I’ve started so many healthy eating plans but they only ever last a a couple of days! I’ve had 2 nights out in the last few days and whereas I’d normally just take a night off I resolutely stuck to treating myself with a diet coke instead of a water!
So here’s to watching the pounds melt off!
Feel free to add in any other questions to the questionnaire too – I’m just intrigued by everyone’a experiences!

I stopped using it (as I have reached my goal YAY!)
I logged continously for 5 months. After that I just did not need to anymore- you eventually have calorie counts burned in your brain.
My start weight was 151 and I am now 120- 31lb loss! I lost 20lbs in the 1st 3 months, and gradually lost the last 10 over a year (Was in no rush).

@SparkleBee11: wow! Massive congratulations! It looks like I’m going for a similar result to you In terms of how much id like to lose. Do you feel the difference? Any tips for me? I’d love to see some pictures if youre so inclined. Either way, go you! You must feel great about it!

I dont have a lot of great pictures of my body at 150… I tried to hide it (ie bulky sweaters lol) But you can definitely see the difference in my face. I feel a lot more confident. Shopping is much more fun– a little harder actually (so difficult to find the right size).
This was my essential “meal plan”- all meals I tried to keep at 300-350 calories and then had regular snack.
Fruit & greek yogurt for breakfast
Egg or string cheese for snack (or 1 piece of 40 cal bread and sugar free jelly)
Salad, Soup & protein for lunch (I would make sure either the salad or soup
Protien & veggies for dinner
I ate a LOT of sugar free foods… not saying it was the healthiest replacesments but it definitely curbed cravings and kept calories with in reason.
** whenever I hit a platueo I just ate whatever I wanted for 2 days 🙂 lol! and went right back on track after 2 days and the platueo would break.
This is me at 151 taken in Aug & Sept of 2011
At 130- This was Dec 2011
This is me at 120 (bridesmaid dress shopping) Aug 2013

how long have you been tracking? Since March
what was your start weight? 250…*shudder*
whats your current weight? Down 21 lbs. at 229
whats your goal weight? 180
how many calories does MFP allow you? 1780
what food are you missing most? Non-Diet ice cream
whats your favourite low cal meal? Fish, a little rice, and roasted broccoli
What made you start MFP?
I hit that number on the scale. That number you swear you will never hit, you’d rather die than hit that number.
I’ve been walking 3 times a week, about 2 miles. I walked a 5K in June and an signed up for another one in late September. I’m going to start running a little soon, as well.

@littlemisst08: 21lbs is a massive accomplishment! Well done! You should be so pleased with yourself! I know it sounds weird but I feel a huge sense of relief that I’ve finally started to deal with it. Keep going and we’ll get there! X

@GoldieGlitters: thanks! the weight has started dropping slower now, but I’m trying hard to stick with it. College Football season brings a lot of temptations (tailgating food and beer) but I’m trying. I had a terrible day two days ago and I didn’t want to plug it into MFP but I did it anyway so I could see the painful number. Never again!
I agree with that sense of relief. The hardest part was taking that first step to begin a routine.

@littlemisst08: I can totally understand that! I often work in places where booze and buffets are just the standard! Last night I had a gig and didn’t touch either! I did however have a noodle salad and some carrot sticks with humouss. that’s unheard of for me!
Tonight I made quorn fajitas and even though I’m still 146 below my target, I feel guilty. It just didn’t feel heathy. This is a great thing!

how long have you been tracking? 2 years, it was the biggest factor in my weight loss
what was your start weight? 235 lbs and I’m 5’8
whats your current weight? 160 lbs, this is the smallest I’ve been since Junior High
whats your goal weight? 140 lbs, hopefully by my wedding next June!
how many calories does MFP allow you? 1570, but I usually eat less
what food are you missing most? I don’t really miss anything at this point. When I was obese it was mainly due to eating too much of everything. I still eat everything I ate then, just in moderation.
whats your favourite low cal meal? Oh I have so many! But stir frys are probably my favorite, so easy to throw together and so yummy.
What made you start MFP? I was using the Livestrong tracker on my computer, but I wanted something that I could use on my phone so that it was easier to track.
Even though I have lost a lot of weight, I still use MFP on a daily basis. I feel like it keeps me accountable, I know how many calories are in foods, but if I actually have to enter things into the app I’m less likely to overeat.
