    Hi Ladies

I have recently... just bought a new foundation, because my trusted foundation that ive been using for the last year, isnt making the brand anymore.

So that meant I had to go on the hunt for new one. I had this lady rave to me about napolean perdis foundation and she just said it will last the WHOLE DAY coverage for 13hrs, I was like.. too good to believe so I bought it at 45 dollars (i know some of you are thinking expensive, but I like to think im paying for quality)

I am yet 5hrs into the day at work I look in the mirror and it feels as tho I havent put anything on at all!!!

So ladies, Im not trusting the beautician anymore..

    What do you use?

I like Clinique Superfit a lot. It's light to moderate coverage on me, and seems to help my shiny skin (which is oily, but less so than when I was a teenager). I apply it with clean fingers and follow with a dusting of loose powder.

I use a brand called CoverFX, it is a dermatologist brand that they sell at Sephora (I have really sensitive skin). I think The one I use is actually a cream foundation and it really does last all day but is super light (at least compared to the icky mac stuff I used to use). It was about $42 but I have been using it for the last month and I'm not even half done with it! I don't know anyone else who uses it but it is what Sephora recommended to me when I asked for "mac coverage without being so terrible for my skin."

I used to use Clinique but it didn't offer the coverage that I sometimes need.

I use cheap, old Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. I have tried Sephora brand foundation and the "HD" foundation they recommend (can't remember the name of the brand), and for me, Revlon stays ALL DAY, like a mofo.

Were you using Prescriptives??? Because that's what I was using (and it is no longer being made) I switched over to Clinique, and I am right on board with everyone else - love it!  I also just got a macy's coupon in the mail today (from Clinique) offering a free FULL SIZE of any one of their makeup foundations for former Prescriptives customers! woohoo!

I'm a drug store foundation girl, I use Covergirl Trueblend. I tried the department store brands but they all seemed to irritate my sensative skin. The Covergirl lasts all day but I don't feel like I'm wearing it, plus it matches my skin really really well.

I really like Origins 'Nude & Improved', it's a little more coverage than tinted foundation, but not super heavy, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, and lasts all day (even pretty well through an intense workout).

Like Jesso, I use Bare Minerals for my daily "at work" wear. For special events and evenings out, I use Diorskin Nude with a primer and setting powder and it stays ALL NIGHT - people say I look airbrushed. I'm going to be using that for my wedding day.

Another problem could be your pre-foundation skin routine. Are you letting your moisturizer/SPF fully dry before applying? That could dilute it.

what kind of coverage are you looking for? and what is your skin type :)

I love makeupforever (MUFE) HD foundation, and if smashbox HD matched my tone, i'd like it too, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Right now I'm using Lunasol (Kanebo) it's not bad.

I like the Guerlain parure aqua or extreme - that's probably my next investment for personal use.

A good primer is also key at keeping your foundation in place. I recommend Smashbox photofinish primer (the ones wsithout SPF).  :)

Well, I have fairly "normal" skin (whatever that term is supposed to mean) -- I wash my face and then put lotion on, and my skin is not oily. I use Urban Decay cream foundation. It's so easy to apply (I use a brush) and you can decide how heavy you want it for sheer to medium coverage. If you're looking for heavy duty, this will look a little cakey. It lasts all day for me!

It is $35 so cheaper than the other one! I get Sephora coupons so I can stock up  and get the discount and take advantage of free shipping, too.

I use Chanel something or other.. i was bamboozled into it but turns out it's the best foundation I've ever worn. It pumps out liquidy, but somehow feels powdery and light on my face.  I was a little sore for spending all that money (50 bucks or something?) but when I wear make up, i don't feel like i'm wearing a mask.

I cant use clinique because it makes me breakout. The only brand that gives me amazing coverage and doesnt clog my pores is Armani. They have a few options, I use the shaping cream in the winter and the lasting silk in the warmer months. Check it out:

I was in the same boat as you, so I asked the girl who did my makeup for the wedding what she recommended for every day use, and she said Dior. It's a little pricey, but I use it every day now and LOVE it. It stays on all day, it goes on beautifully, and it doesn't dry me out or make me oily. It's perfect. IMO, when it comes to makeup, you get what you pay for. After all, you're lathering it on your face- you want it to be good!

Bare Minerals is the best! It's very light and feels like you are not wearing anything but it works great! I love it because I can sleep in it as well, it's very good for your skin!

I use Mac foundation. I have tried SO many different ones from Clinique to Dior to Elizabeth Arden and I honestly like Mac the best! :) Its light, has an SPF in it and it does not look thick and pasty on!

I use Armani for full coverage and it's AMAZING!!! For lighter coverage I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, but you have to use a LOT of it, unlike the Armani which is expensive but lasts FOREVER because I use so little!!!!

Estee Lauder - Double Wear - Stay in Place Make-Up with an SPF of 10

This is by far the best I have ever used - my sister used to be a regional manager for Clinique so I had always used their products and then a friend let me try hers out and it is amazing! I can put it on in the morning and it last all day. The down side is that it is quite expensive (almost $70 with tax eek!) but like you said I am paying for quality. And honestly a good foundation is way more important than eye shadows and blushes which I tend to go a little cheaper on!

Ok as soon as I read this post i was thinking " Bare Mineral!!" probably like a lot of girls here..hehe.. I think its the best thing ever. Its kind of pricy.. in CA its $65 for the set, but the set will last forever plus it comes with brushes, blush, and main fondation (its powder) .

The good thing is if you run out of something you can buy individual things on eBay for really cheap. Check it out, its amazing!!
