Its very upsetting that she did that she has clearly proved to you that she cant be relied on, but I’m sure if you make a few calls you can still get a hotel room for the night at a reasonable rate

It sounds like she took on a little more than she could handle, and she should have been more upfront about it, especially when her dad had the accident. I wouldn’t get too upset about the room, who know she might really come through for you? Talk to you MOH and see if you could stay at her house, I’m sure that will still be a lot of fun!

Not to invalidate your feelings, but she probably has much more on her mind than your wedding. I wouldn’t count on her for anything and start getting things done on your own. You can get a nice room in 9 days. You just have to call around or check online.

@PrncssDva: I don’t think a sleep over would put her out, especially since she was planning on staying with you anyway. Ask her, or give them the option of going in on a room together?

Yeah as far as the first friend, yeah it was crummy that she flaked out, and it’s not fun to try and get everything together at the last minute. Talk to MOH, and once it’s worked out, then it’s done and you get to focus on the fun stuff. Like other bees have said, don’t count on anything from flakey friend.

Does your MOH have extra beds for you and the other girls? Because you may not want to spend the night in a sleeping bag on the floor then be tired on your wedding day.

If she has beds though, I would ask her. She’s your MOH so she’s one of your closest friends and would probably want to help you out. Spend the $60 on takeout and wine.

I agree that it is frustrating when you rely on someone and they let you down. And I know you were hoping to get the hotel for $60 but since she didnt reserve the room for you and now that particular hotel is booked up, there must be some other hotel near you that can spare one room even if it isnt fancy, at an affordable rate so that you dont have to spend that night with your FH. Sometimes last minute deals come at an even better price!

priceline.com and all the other hotel/flight/car rental places usually have good deals on all hotels.

((HUGS))  I definitely would ask your friend if you could stay because it sounds really fun to have an all girls bash the night before the wedding. Also, why didn’t you tell me you needed a DOC?! I do’nt know if I can make it home that weekend, but I’ll try.

Oh duh me!!! LOL!!!! Do you need anything else or are you okay? I don’t know if I can make it home that weekend, because I will have to come home the weekend after, but we’ll see…
