We decided early on that my FI and I should include his two siblings in our wedding as a bridesmaid and groomsmen. One is his Mom’s son and the other is his Dad’s daughter – both will be 20 by the time it is our wedding day.
Since his little sis is far away and in college, I sent her a bouquet with a card asking her to be a bridesmaid. So far she hasn’t said that she got them directly, but this jsut was posted on my Facebook. It’s so sweet that I had to share it – I know we all have our fair share of problems with the future in-laws, but it’s nice to see a happy post like this! I hope!
I just wanted to say that I can’t wait until you become my sister in-law. I’m really happy for the two of you because as we both know my brother deserves the best and I know you qualify for the spot 🙂 We may all have disfunctional families but gaining you as a sister puts the family drama on the back burner. I’ve watched my borther grow older longing for someone who will care, love and support him and then you came into his life. I can’t wait to see the two of you and of course Ace when I come back for break. Love you!!!

I love it when two families can come together. I love my SIL like she was my real sister. She is the older sister I always wanted. I talk to her more than her brother does!! When she wrote about our wedding she talked about how awesome I am and how great it is to have a sister! I am so happy with my new family

Awww that is so, so sweet! I really wish I had a FSIL but… no such luck. It appears that I am DOOMED to be the only girl in my family forever.

Hey guys – Another heartwarming I love my FSIL post to add…
She wrote this BEFORE she got the flowers and found out she was in the wedding?! How cool is that?! She actually got the them they day after she wrote this on my wall. She ended up telling me how much being in the wedding meant to her and how thrilled she was to have been asked. Its her first wedding other than as a flower girl when she was little, so I think in a lot of ways it’s extra special for her.
I’m lucky also to have a younger sister-to-be who has her stuff together and isn’t a typical 20 year old. That’s just icing on the cake.

That’s so great! I also am blessed with a great FSIL who I get along with so well. As soon as we got engaged she started having her young children call me Aunt Amanda… It melted my cold little heart

That is awesome. My FSIL calls me names and tells me how horrible I am. Glad to see there are some fabulous and nice ones out there too!
