- Wedding: July 2013
First off, let me say that in MY area, robes, hangers, jewelry, shoes, etc. do NOT count for your “bridesmaids” gifts. If you want to have these, then they are just considered “gifts” and they are given in a group setting after the rehearsal dinner. (In fact, the bride is suppose to pay for shoes, jewelry, hair and makeup, just because) The “gift for being a bridesmaid is given individually, unsually during the morning before the wedding (sometimes in the week proceeding the wedding, depending). Each of these gifts are unique and personlized to that girl’s taste.
So without further ado, my list:
Personalized wire hanger for their BMs dresses
Personalized Make-up bag with a “care package” with those feet saver things from dillards, asprin, bandaids, fashion tape, chap stick, thread, tic tacs, and a little mini bottle of booze (each girl gets a different kind depending on what she likes to drink).
Monogrammed BM robe (I literally spent $15 on these. They are just suppose to be a cheap “prop” for pictures, but they will make excellent pool cover-ups. My girls already knew they are getting these because they were with me when I saw them and said “OOOOH LETS DO THIS!”)
The “Gift for Being a Bridesmaid”
MoH gets a spa day with me after I take her out for lunch at our favorite Brazillian place (she told me she wanted the lunch for her gift. She is my BFF so that part of the gift is a little less personal. However, she has NEVER been to a spa and FI took me to this luxury spa for Valentines and it was AH-MAZE-ING. The whole event will be on me -wine, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.- but I know she wouldn’t want to go alone, so I’m going with her.)
Little Sis is a HUGE James Avery Charms fan, and she has been eyeing these 2 charms and a necklace for her to hook all her charms on, so I am getting her this, plus an engraved box from Things Remembered for her to store them in.
Older Sis is getting a weekend stay at a vineyard for her and her DH, with 3 bottles of wine.
ALL of them are getting a picture frame with the two of us as a memory “keepsake”.
I know these aren’t “typical” gifts seen here, but around here, I’m pretty much following the norm. LOL.
