I had this issue with my BMs and I picked a convertible dress. That way, I got the uniform look while still acommodating different body types. I highly recommend.

Have you considered picking a brand of dress (say Dessy) and color and letting them each pick their own style? That way they’ll all be comfortable and will look their best.

This is where I think that David’s Bridal does the best job.  They have so many dresses and styles and they make them in all sizes (they will even have large sample sizes so you know what you are getting) .  Just for the ease of ordering dresses it was worth it for me.  Good Luck!

I am not sure what your budget is – – LulaKate is adorable and they offer all sizes.  Their size chart is here – – then click the link above for their homepage.

Don’t get discouraged girl – You’ll find the perfect designer and the bm’s will all look fab!

Try anntaylor.com, they have a lot of dresses that would look great on multiple body-types. We purchased ours from there and they seem to flatter all the girls really well.

I’d consider letting them chose their own dresses with a color palette (since they won’t find the exact color and fabric in different dresses, unless you go with jcrew or a bridal line). Just ask them to send you a picture ahead of time so that if there’s an issue they can return it.

The dress my BMs agreed on looked terrible on one of them, but since she was long distance and I didn’t ask for a photo, I didn’t find out until the wedding day. People who met her that day refer to her as “the one with the big boobs”! I felt terrible for her (although she liked the dress and didn’t seem to have any issue with it, so maybe she would’ve picked a revealing style herself).

You can find lots of places that offer different styles that are made out of the same color and material.  I didn’t feel very limited at all in my search.

if you are looking for something in all the same exact dress, then i hate to break it to you but there is NO dress that looks good on EVERYONE especially with the range of sizes you have.

I had a range for my girls as well and wanted a cohesive look so i had them go to dessy and choose one of 5 i selected for them, they are all the same color and fabric, but different :styles: so they are still cohesive, but dont make one girl look like a sausage and another girl look like shes anorexic…

case in point:

and so on…

My Bm’s range from size 2 – 22….the dress we picked is Alexia and looks great on ALL of them…. The MOH & Flowergirl are a few shades lighter

Sizes 2-12 here!

I ditto the Ann Taylor! Or JCrew. I really like the idea of same color/different styles. All my ‘maids were okay with tank-style dresses, but i would’ve been okay adding sleeves if they wanted to.

Scoop necks+accentuated waists are always flattering!

I’m in the same boat. I have 3 BMs, each different shapes/sizes. I’m going with same color and material, but letting them go with different styles. I may check out David’s Bridal… although BCBG has some really cute dress if you go to the outlet stores.

My bridesmaids are all different sizes:

Size 2 and 5’1″ (didn’t want anything that is too big for frame)

Size 8 and 5’8″ (complains about “big ribs” in dresses)

Size 14 and 5’2″ (Wanted to hide her butt)

Size 14 and 5’2″ (Wanted to hide her stomach)

Size 16 and 5’2″ (Has HUGE boobs that I didn’t want spilling out)

Considering this, I thought choosing a dress would be a nightmare but they all agreed on the second one anyone tried on. It seriously looked good on everyone, I swear!
