sugarpea:  I am so sorry to hear this sweetie. How extreamly upsetting for you as a family, but even more so close to your special day considering how excited she has been. I will send my positive thoughts and good vibes and keep my fingers crossed for the best possible outcome for Ann. Stay strong and positive. Best wishes.

My friend has been dealing witha similar issue.. they are going to get married with a JP in her hospital room before the wedding if it seems like she wont make it much longer…

Are you aposed to getting married in the hospital before the wedding in front of her so she can still enjoy it and then still have your weddign as planned…

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Is there any way you could Skype the wedding for her so she can watch from wherever she is?

I am so sorry 🙁  My dad is in kidney failure and I know how rough the transition was and how scary it can seem between surgeries and dialysis. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out about it all. Sending healthy vibes.

like other bees have said, if your not opposed to it I think getting married in the hospital in front of her before your actual wedding would be a great idea.

I’m so sorry 🙁 She will be in my prayers! I agree with pp’s, would getting married in the hospital early be an option for you guys?

The next few days will be a whirlwind, and you will have so much going on, but I just thought I’d direct you to a website that may be helpful for you and your family- kidneyschool.org. There may be a lot of sitting and waiting around in the hospital, and I’ve found that a lot of family members feel better if they are doing something productive and useful during that time. It’s also hard to keep all of the information straight; this is a good resource to return to as questions arise.  I’m a nephrology RN…feel free to message me, if you have any questions.
