So I’ve been pretty Religious about going to the Gym at least 3-times a week since, about May, when I joined my gym with a friend.
She just moved across the country and she hasn’t been going with me for about a month now. I started going in the morning (I try to get to the gym around 6am) because I couldn’t stand going after work (around 5pm) there are far too many Highschool aged people who go to chat and it makes me crazy, lol.
In the last two weeks, between it being freezing now in the morning (and snow on the car! lol) and some knee related issues, and the 15 min drive to get there, I have no motivation to go.. But I do still want to exercise
I’m thinking of suspending my membership for awhile and picking back up my P90X, has anyone made the switch from steadily going to the gym to P90X? How did it work for you?
Did you love P90X? See reaults?

@Stephville: I purchased P90X and loved it while I was doing it… it is very challenging and the mix up in routine was very nice. However I struggled with motivation because I could do it at home… where I could also just choose to wear sweatpants and watch Law and Order reruns. Definitely worth the investment if you do it, but you have to be motivated to do it at home.

I didn’t finish P90X but I lost 20lbs with Turbofire, and loved it. I found it easy to find motivation to do it. P90X3 just came out and it’s all 30 minute workouts instead of the full hour like the original.

@windyPhoebee: I think I can stay motivated to do P90X this time. I bought it before I joined the gym.. And stopped because I felt like it burned up too much of my evening time, but since I started going to the gym in the morning, I’m planning on doing P90X in the am also. One of the things I’m hating about going to the gym now, is how much of a pain in the ass it is to go in the morning and have to clean snow off my car, let it warm up for awhile in the driveway, sometimes get gas etc etc etc. lol plus the longer drive due to slippery roads.. I’m going to do my first P90X session on Monday, I’m giving my knees a little time to heal up, I was doing 30 min HIIT sessions on the treadmill for the last month and it was just too much for my joints I guess lol
@Justbrynne: Thanks for letting me know about P90X3, maybe after I finish the regular P90X I’ll look into that as more of a maintenance! I’m sure it’ll still kick my butt though! lol
