I feel like your makeup looks good. Hair- I loved it, I am going for a similar style. Your hair ( if its like mine) will simply not hold like a model for 12+hours. Your hair looks amazing, but your will not look like a model after 5+ hours. Just be realistic, you need you hair to look awesome for picutres and thats it! If you have hair like mine ( fine and thin) you are not going to have the same hair at 8 am as you do at 6 pm.

Thats the reality. Maybe keep your hairdresser on standby after the ceremony to help keep your updo in checkl! Otherwise just realize that your hair will fall and thats ok! You look gorgeous either way 🙂

I definitely recommend going slightly uncomfortably heavy on the makeup and hair.  It’ll make your makeup pop in images and keep your hair lasting longer.  What’s natural in person translates much definitely in images.  You’ll be save going a little heavier handed.  🙂

I think your makeup looks really good. But I do agree…if you wanted drama I think it needs to be darker. The photo she has her waterline done with eyeliner. It makes a big difference, she also has fake lashes and it doesn’t look like you do, as well as her lipstick has a sheen to it, heavier foundation and I think she has contouring done under her cheekbones. Those are pretty big differences. However, I do think yours looks more natural and really beautiful. Totally depends on the look you are going for, if you want more drama I would say heavier eyeliner will make the difference and maybe a touch more blush and bronzer under the apples of your cheeks imo.

I think everything looks beautiful! I would only add eyelashes and brighten your lipstick!

I think your hair looks amazing!  Maybe add a few extra bobby pins (and LOTS of hairspray) to try and give it a bit more staying power.

I agree that the makeup doesn’t scream “drama.”  It looks like she used a powder or pencil liner and smudged it.  I would ask for liquid liner or a kohl pencil- way darker and more smudgy.  Are you going to add lashes on your wedding day as well?  That will make a huge difference!  And your skin looks fabulous- super glowy and clear!  🙂

lauraashley09:  Your hair and makeup looks amazing!! The only thing I would suggest is, if you do want it to look like your inspiration picture, defintiely go heavier with the eyes! It’ll also pop more in pictures. I recently had my makeup done for my engagement pictures and I wanted a ‘dramatic eye’. Goodness, when I first saw myself, I couldn’t believe how much makeup I had on, but it looked absolutely amazing in pictures and everyone kept complimenting me on it!

Maybe get extensions to thicken your hair, or alternatively let it down for the reception and wear an awesome headband/head piece/veil. As for your makeup do what is comfortable for you but remember it tends to wash out in pictures. I would up the eyeliner a little bit and add false lashes but nothing too extreme.

lauraashley09:  Yes! I think that the colors are very lovely on you, but you only get married once and you’re going to have hundreds of photos taken of you, so go for it! I would do as @Keekers suggests. I would add just a little bit of eyeliner and add false lashes! They have a ton of different kinds and style so if you have never worn them before, don’t be afraid. They are absolutely amazing and will give you that dramatic eye you’re wanting!

I think they both are great starts. Shoes her the pics 3/5 hours later then day of, just have her add a LOT more bobby pins with a few more loose tendrils around the face and with the makeup do black liquid liner and fake lashes with a bolder lip.

lauraashley09:  great! I thought you would look fun for the reception with dancing and such by letting it down and you won’t constantly be thinking “is my hair okay?!?”. Then there’s no worries 🙂
