yes, the hair flower is my something old... i wasnt sure if i LOVED it but the more i look at it the more i do. The same officiant that married my parents and grandparents are marrying us too so there is a lot of specialness happening! Thanks for the great comments ladies! i showed my FI and hes like "i think its nice... is is supposed to look like a REAL flower?? i dunno, ask someone who knows about this stuff..."

@beachbride- wow, thank you so much for that compliment!! that means a lot! i cant wait to see everything come together!! i have an art degree, im a designer, and a long time crafter so i put a lot of pressure on myself so happy compliments are very good to hear!! by the way- where are you getting married?
@BeachFanatic ... ok, well the fact that you're a designer (and have an art degree) makes me feel a little better. Haha! I live in NJ, too! We're getting married in Belmar. It seems like we have a lot in common ... just looking at your avatar ... I got engaged at Yankee stadium. :)
@ beachbride- haha we could be bffs! that was at the final game of the acls- gooo andy... we are at a game like once a week during the season. yea, jersey shore brides!

So a month or so ago I mentioned that I got my mom's wedding dress from her. It was badly yellowed and she was about to just throw it away.. but i was like "nooo let me see what i can do with that lace!!" I oxi-cleaned the hell out of it, ripped it apart and paired it up with some pieces from a fake flower. I then sewed some swarovski into the middle to match my wedding colors and jewelry, sewed it to the same clip my mom used in her hair on her wedding day...
