I definitely agree that your face looks very pale, but I’m not sure if the foundation is too light, or if its the lighting, or that the MUA has used too much shimmer on your eyes and cheeks.

While it looks nice, the makeup strikes me as a very “everyday” look, not quite heavy enough to be fancy, but not quite the right tones to be really natural.

I really love your hair though! How long is it currently?  Would it have grown long enough in 9 months to do the half up/half down look?

@HisNightOwl2014:  I think in most of the pictures the foundation looks okay, but the second picture definitely makes it look several shades too dark. Dunno if thats just the lighting or not. Either way, I’d ask her about possibly doing a darker shade. And I think you’d look fantastic with a popping red lip color. I think it would take the makeup look to the next level.

And I like the hair, but if you’re set on getting extensions and having a half up, I’d do a second trial.

@HisNightOwl2014:  Hair: Great! Makeup: Ghostly. I definitely say warm is up a little. 🙂

Don’t worry about being specific with what you want. This is what the trial is for. I think the hair looks nice, but the makeup is not good at all. She made your face a totally different color from the rest of your body and I don’t like the colors she chose for you. There’s no wow-factor there at all. :/ Have you considered getting a second opinion from another stylist about your hair? If it isn’t what you want, maybe someone else can help you achieve what you DO want since this lady said it’s not possible.

You’re so pretty! Hm perhaps go a shade or so darker with foundation, I do agree. Though did you notice it when you looked in the mirror or when you looked at the photos? As if it was just in the photos you might need another foundation better suited to photography. I do like the makeup overall though. I don’t really think it needs to be heavier.

Re: your hair it does look nice but I can’t believe she just didn’t do what you asked. Um that’s weird. I don’t know what to advise.

@soontobebe:  +1.

Also, OP, I think if you will have extensions on your wedding day, it makes sense to do the hair trial with them in or else you won’t get an accurate picture of what it will look like.

The foundation is definitely too light and has so much of an ashy cast that I would check to be sure that she didn’t use anything with SPF or silica setting powder.

That said, you are lovely and you’re going to look so beautiful at your wedding! The eyes and lips are especially beautiful on you!

@HisNightOwl2014:  I’m by no means a makeup or hair expert but you are beautiful…I mean absolutely stunning. But I agree that the foundation is too light, it also looks like it’s shiny (mine does that too b/c I have oily skin) and your eye shadow doesn’t look right. WAY too shimmery. You have seriously gorgeous features and you really need to play them up. I don’t think your person did that for you.

Also I’m not sure why something can’t be done with half up/half down hair….it looks (from your updo) that you have enough to do what you want. If you are doing extensions, I would definitely have it half up/half down.

@HisNightOwl2014:  I think your foundation is too light, the blush is too pink and is clashing with the lips, and there is way too much highlighting under your eyebrow. I would honestly go for a different lipcolor with that eyeshadow color.

If she isn’t willing to problem solve your hair in a way for you to get what you want, then go with someone else.
