My prayers and thoughts go out to the families that lost 19 men in the fire.
It hits close to home for me, my uncle last year in June was a volunteer firefighter. They live close to a canyon and so do my grandparents in a tiny little town. Well someone had intentionally started a fire that burned through the whole canyon within hours. My uncle was called out to help fight it and in the midst of fighting it him and 2 other men were caught in the middle. The fire literally surrounded them and the only way out was to go through the fire. My uncle was ontop of the little towns fire truck. The man driving hit the gas and went straight through the fire while my uncle on top held on with dear life. I got the call late that night saying that my uncle is in ICU for 70% burns on his body. A year later he is doing better. But our family could have lost him in that spilt second.
I feel so bad for these families. Hold your loved ones close and be careful with fireworks this year!
**I know these fires weren’t started by fireworks but still be careful**
