Agreed. So sad to happen right before thanksgiving. My fiance was just showing me pictures it’s truly heart breaking, we’re not even out of it yet. We’re in Ohio and we have a tornado warning until 12. Everyone say a prayer that this ends as soon as possible!

@legenwaitforitdary:  I am from Oklahoma, so I am way too familiar with this. Not just what the people go through, but all the poor animals. It’s devastating and so very heartbreaking.

A friends home in St Louis was badly damaged, thank goodness they and their kids were safely in the basement.

@legenwaitforitdary:  I have a friend in Clarksville, TN. She said it sounds like their house is inside a car wash. :-/ Luckily though it’s just rain and wind at this point.

@legenwaitforitdary:  well, you get a warning but those suckers can change direction in a heartbeat and come after you. There’s nothing at all you can do for your livestock, horses, etc except turn them loose and hope for the best. Having to listen to all the gunshots the following day is one of the worst sounds, and something that no one talks about. I cry my eyes out everytime I pass by the Orr Ranch in Moore.

Thank you! I was out driving around in a 70mph tornado, not smart! Our trees and roof are damaged, lost power for a bit but it could have been much worse! Those metal trash dumspters were rolling around the street, scary stuff@

@MrsN14:  stay safe, lady! Yup, the flying debris is what’s most dangerous. The last bad one in Moore, a teacher had the entire leg of a chair impaled through her lower leg. Awful.

I hadn’t heard of this yet.  How sad 🙁

Is this late for tornados in the US?

@AB Bride:  it’s definitely not peak tornado season. In Oklahoma, May is the month we all fear.
