These are so cute! Congratulations. It looked like a lovely day. :)
Thanks for sharing with us! You looked beautiful! Some of my fav's: the window shot, your entrance song, dancing with your g-pa, and the favors!!
Everything looks beautiful. I especially love your dress. I'm a big fan of lace. And that after party looks like a big hit. I also love your favors. Your wedding looks awesome.
You looked amazing!! Not to mention everythng else looked absolutely perfect all the details were just head on!!! Love it congrats!!
@AmeliaBedelia: Thank you! And the weather was just perfect. They were calling for scattered thunderstorms, but they decided to buzz off instead.
@melisslp: our entrance song! I had no idea what to do for it. I chose SexyBack, but I totally thought that I would end up changing it to something "more appropriate"...I'm glad I stuck with it (grandparents present and all) because it was so much fun.
@bRooklynRocks: Thank you!! I got so many compliments on the quality of the lace on this dress. The lace was some of the prettiest I've seen. I loved this dress!
@organizedbride11: Thank you so much! :)
I love the window photo! The honey favors are fabulous@
@mousegirl: Thanks! I just so happen to have two more window shots that my dad took:

:)
Everything is beautiful. I especially love your shoes and your cake! I wore the same shoes as your purple ones, only mine were gold. You have excellent taste!
@Jazziberry: :) Great shots! You look very happy!
what a pretty wedding! you and your groom look gorgeous and so in love. the invitations are especially beautiful! congratulations. :)
@2ndtime: Yayy for cool shoes! Here's a sad story though, the crinoline of my dress rubbed against the ruffles on the toes of the purple shoes, and now they are all frayed! I don't know if they are salvageable. :(
@mousegirl: Thank you! Yes, we are so happy!
@simplifiedbride: aww you're so sweet! I'm glad you noticed the invites--I was so proud of them. :)
@doily: Yes, it was a beautiful day! It was like a dream. Except I didn't get to eat a full slice of cake (which I was really looking forward to!). It was all my fault, though. You couldn't get me off the dance floor. haha
Go check out the pro pics at my Part 2 thread!!! That's where all the really gorgeous shots are. For real!
OMG - you were such a beautiful bride! I can't get enough of your photos...heading over to see the pro pics now :)
@pink.sequins: GIRL! You totally would recognize that giant structure beyond the fence in the second margarita party picture. ;) Seriously, THAT'S how close I was to it growing up. And thank you sooo much! I can't stop looking at all my wedding photos either. :)
@Jazziberry: Haha! I thought it was eerily familiar :)
I forgot to say that your mom's margarita machines and rosary might be my favorites...though there's so much to love of your big day!!!
@pink.sequins: Oh yes, we loved us some margaritas. My mom doesn't drink much, but she got the machines up and running earlier in the week, like I said, and she decided to check it out and made herself a margarita. My mom never(?...hard to believe) had tequila before because she said she's always heard "horror stories" about people drinking tequila. She didn't think she'd like it, but she walks into the kitchen, margarita in hand, and says, "Ooooohhh, I LIKE tequila!!!!" .....ruh-rohh...lol
I can't wait for your wedding. You guys really are too cute. :)
You look very beautiful, I love your dress!!!
BTW, in that pic of you and DH dancing, you look just like Natalie Portman. Seriously!
Looks like you had a very beautiful wedding! I love the first photo of you in the window.
These are awesome! You look beautiful and so happy. I especially love your dress and your cake!
What a cute wedding! Love your dress AND the favors were a very creative idea. They turned out beautifully!
@evie19- thank you so much! The honey favors were a big hit!
@jaynee- aww thank you! I loved my dress, too. And I have been told I look like Natalie Portman a bunch of times. I guess that's my look-a-like celebrity. :P
@floretteliz- thank you! I loved how everything came together. I think my photographers snagged some shots of me in the window, too, so I can't wait to see what they have.
@ellabee- thanks so much!
@lawgirl12- thank you for the sweet compliments!
you have totally inspired me!!! I love the lavender bouquet! may steal that idea :) also pots of honey - beautiful!!! x
@londongal: yayy!! I'm glad my wedding has inspired you! I just knew I wanted a bouquet of lavender. And since I want to keep honeybees (and grow lavender), the honey was the perfect favor. I hope you do use the lavender bouquet--it was so pretty and just the right touch. Happy planning!
Great pics! I love both your shoes and your dress! Msg me if you are selling the purple pair!
@Miss Sunset: Thank you! I have little feet, so the shoes are tiny...I think size 5 or 5.5? But unfortunately the crinoline from my dress rubbed on the top of the ruffles and now they are all frayed. :(
I love your honey favor. May I ask how much it cost per favor to put it together?
@miss_longcoat- thank you!
@miss_sunset- hmm, I actually never figured it up. I do have the prices written down, but I'll have to find them and I'll figure it up for you.
I do have a quarter gallon of honey, a case of jars/lids, a few sheets of labels, a couple bunches of dried lavender and a small bunch of honey dippers left over.
I think we put together 96 favors total and I have about a dozen left. We only had about 80 people at the wedding.
Wow!!! I just looked at your pro pics too and all of them are fantastic. You were a gorgeous bride and all of the details to your day were wonderful.
@miss_sunset- I looked up all the numbers and I think it comes to something like $4.50 per favor (for 96 of them) but like I said, I had around 80 guests and have a dozen favors left over and some extra supplies, too, that are still useful.
@running_elley- thank you so much!

I made a post the other day where I linked to pictures of my wedding, but didn't include any in the actual post. I was being lazy. :) I want to do a better recap so here goes!
The rings:

I wore these purple shoes for the ceremony:

My Something Borrowed/Blue was this rosary that belongs to my mom. I carried it with my bouquet down the aisle. My Something Old is the pearl necklace that J gave me a few years ago for Christmas (not too old, but old enough, eh?) and my "official" Something New was an embroidered handkerchief given to me by my MOH (I kept this tucked in my cleavage lol), although everything else I was wearing was new, too.

In this picture you can see two of my bridesmaids lending their female-eye to make sure my veil looks just right before the ceremony. You can also see that the yellow bridesmaids' dresses photograph MUCH differently on my dad's camera than they do with my professional photographers'. The yellow is way more accurate in the pro pics that my photogs took. (And unfortunately, you can see where the tailor sewed the strap on my bridesmaid's dress twisted up, but it was not discovered until that morning and we did not have time to fix it.)...aaaand you can see the pretty bridesmaids' bouquets. :)

Blessing (I think?):

Listening to the readings:

Post-ceremony accessory change: veil comes off, flowers come on! Showing them off through the window to the groom waiting in the garden below for pictures:

After the ceremony, I changed into these yellow shoes for the reception, since the had a higher heal and would help my 5'nothin" self keep my dress off the floor while dancing. (other girls change into flip-flops or go barefoot when they dance...not me! I need all the extra height I can get!) I even polka'd in these bad shoes!...that was on of my favorite moments during the day, but as of right now, I don't have a picture of me doing the polka.

Our entrance was to Justin Timberlake's SexyBack haha

Our first dance was originally going to be to George Strait's "Cross My Heart", UNTIL I heard Blake Shelton's "Honeybee" and promptly appealed to J to use this as our song instead. It was perfect!! You can also see some of my husband's(!) many tattoos in this shot...Oh! and the yellow watch: we got each of the groomsmen Swiss Legend watches with yellow/black faces and J got a watch with a plain yellow face.

I purchased 2.5 gallons of honey from a local beekeeper in Maryland, ordered hexagonal glass jars and wooden honey dippers online, designed the clear labels, and bought dried lavender (from a local L'Occitane store) to come up with this delightful favor for my guests:

Here is our cake! It came out exactly like I had envisioned and requested. It was a lemon cake with lemon curd filling and iced with sweet buttercream icing. The topper is a crystal cut ornament that says "Jamie and Kelly J---- 6/11/2011" (that we can hang on our Christmas tree every year) surrounded by flowers provided by our florist (who also included a little honeybee, like the one on my bouquet you have yet to see, on the metal ornament hanger).

The father/daughter dance was to "Ashokan Farewell" by Maggie Ryan on her Celtic Maiden album. If you listen to the whole song, you'll understand when I say that my dad would spin me at each of the moments when the instrument changes. He insisted that we do a waltz, and he picked out this song. Since I used to go to Civil War living histories with him before I went off to college, this was special to us and definitely got the tears flowing for some of our guests. :)

My Granddaddy has trouble walking, but he always insists on dancing as long as we hold him up. :) (somehow I ended up wearing J's tie...tsk.)

Since the reception was from 12-4pm on a Saturday, we invited our guests to my parents' house afterwards for a shorts/flip-flops get-together (which we liked to refer to as my mom's Margarita Party, but she preferred that we not call it that..) She had rented these margarita machines for the whole week, and they were such a big hit! They were virgin, but we provided alcohol on the side if you wanted to doctor it up a bit. ;)

Of course, I had to wear a super cute dress I found on sale at Black Market:

I had my dad string twinkle lights in the backyard, and even though most of the guests left before it got dark enough to really see them, I think they were worth it. <3
