Ok so those of you who have been following my posts about my red shoes know that I really and I mean really wanted the Jeffrey Campbell Charo shoes ....

The only place that they seemed to be available was at nordstrom.com.....checked it ..none in my size...called customer service...they can't locate my size anywhere...so on a whim last Thursday I decided to call a store in Chicago to see if they had them..a girl named Olivia said yea we have them and I'll hold them for you til Saturday. So as I stated in my previous post....I was elated!!

Now that you have the background....my mom and I hop in the car and drive an hour and a half to downtown Chicago...I go in and Olivia is working so I ask her for my shoes so that I can try them on...she goes in the back and come out with......THE WRONG FRIGGIN SHOE!! It was very similar but wasn't it!!

I sit down cuz at this point I can't breath....I just started crying my eyes out...Olivia is like what's wrong....and I'm just like...thats not my shoe, that is not my shoe. I asked you for the Jeffrey Campbell not the Charles David .... it doesn't even sound the same!!! And she was like oh my god I'm so sorry. By this point I'm sobbing my little eyes out. So immediately she begins to try and fix her mistake....she's searching hard for my shoes... at all the stores and online...can't find it. So then she's like we have so many other shoes here....we're gonna find you something that you love. I just looked at her and I was just like ok but inside I wanted to choke the life out of her.....I'm not kidding...like every single breath.

So she's bringing me tons of red shoes.....I mean I had at least 30 shoes boxes in front of me. My mom who is very outspoken like me is like....we need discounts and BIG ONES!! My daughter is very upset...which was not a lie at all. I was beyond devastated. People were crowding around and asking what was wrong.

Needless to say that Olivia devoted much of her afternoon today to me and finding me a shoe that while it wasn't my beloved Jeffrey Campbell Charo..would make my eyes twinkle and make my feet look stunning on my special day.

    So while I didn't get these....Jeffrey Campbell Charo $115.00

I did get these Stuart Weitzman Paradise ..,...orginally $395.00 for $100.00 and these Charles David Spicey ...originally $115.00 for $55.00 and not to mention free lunch in the Nordstrom Cafe for me and my mom which was delicious...so I think in the end I came out a winner!!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the JC you originally wanted.  But, congrats on getting the Weitzman's for such a fabulous price!  They are beautiful I tried them on and my toes happened to be painted red - wonderful happy feet results!  I hope you wear those to your wedding :)

Wow- I love the 2 you got even better than the original pair, congrats!  I hope the rest of your planning goes well.  I have to say, crying so hard over shoes that people surround you to see what is wrong seems a little excessive.  It definitely sounds like Nordstrom went over and above to make you happy after making a mistake though- big points for Nordstrom's!

How did you get the Stuart Weitzman's for only $100? I can't find them less than $395. If you ever decide you don't want them and you are a 6 1/2, definitely let me know! I will gladly take them off your hand :)

I'm having a hard time understanding why you were crying over shoes....especially when you ended up getting two fab pairs for a fraction of the price! Undecided

lol. I laughed when I read your story. I don't know if you meant for it to be funny. I understand about getting your hopes up and then for it to crash down around you. But it is still a little funny.

Thankx KLP....gosh I thought it totally read that way....guess it was harder for some to comprehend it tho....

I was crying (not that it has to be justified to anybody) because I really wanted THOSE shoes and had been searching for them for a while now....so to have my hopes up and then have them crushed was a bit much for me...sorry that offends some.

I didn't get the two other shoes for the great price until after the whole incident witht he crying and the crowd.

Get it now? Good. ( I really hate for someone to try and make a fool outta me...it does not sit well with me at all....thanks)

    Now

@ miss yap....I didn't mean for it to be funny but I'm glad my unhappiness made you happy.

@ jblinkley1....I got them for that price as a courtesy for the mishap...I'm not a size 6 1/2 but if I were I would definitely sell them to you later. Sorry hun.

    @ rofarrell...thanx hun!

It was not the fact that you were unhappy that made me happy. And I understand that you were crushed. But also understand in the grand scheme of things not getting the exact shoe you were wanting and then crying like a child in the store is laughable.

Say what you want and feel however you feel....but don't in any way make how I feel and how I express it ...a nice big joke for you. I cried the day my baby sister died to ....feel the need to laugh? I'm just wondering.

Expressing feelings no matter what they are about or where you just happen to be.....is human nature. If more intelligent people realized this and didn't hold their feelings and emotions in...maybe we wouldn't have as much violence in the world. I mean damn...I shed some tears....childish...I don't think so...you act as tho I said I had a fit....rolled around on the floor and pouted. Sorry if me expressing the fact that my feelings were hurt makes me seem childish to you....I really couldn't care less.

No, I wouldn't laugh at the lost of a dear friend. I just happen to find humor in irony. I am capable of laughing at myself. I falsely assume you did too so that we could be laughing together. Not me laughing at you. And for that I apologise. *shrug* the problem with text is that there is no tone of voice. I recently sent out all my invitations... with the wrong address on the RSVP. Some where out there, someone is going to be getting all my wedding RSVPs while I call people all the way down the list. I laughed at myself. If you cannot do that, this wedding planning is going to hold a lot more tears than joy for you.

Theres been a lot of other times that I have been able to laugh...but this for me was not funny. Its different when I make a mistake, and if the mistake is funny I'll laugh. Actually wedding planning has been a blast and quite easy up until this particular incident. I've gotten everything that I wanted so hopefully nothing else terrible happens.

i'm a total shoe whore (no other words to describe it and i have shoe-gasms often). i can betcha i would have burst into tears if i thought by some great fortune i found the shoes that i had been salivating over for my entire wedding only to get there and they were the wrong shoe. heck the thought of it makes me want to cry right now. lol i cannot imagine going somewhere and looking for exactly what i have envisioned and someone says it's there only for them to have been mistaken.  i doubt if you were overly dramatic, it was probably your mom trying to console you and people were walking over to see what was wrong.  heck i'm sure i'll cry when i put on a wedding dress as well.

@ms.monicka: i bring the truth beanie segal style (1999 album) lmao! but seriously i think there is always humor in every situtation and probably would have been laughing and crying saying what a world what a world (wicked witch of the west from the wizard of oz)
