    Hi Bees,

    Sorry I haven't been on lately. My husband and I have been trying to spend as much time together as we could between the wedding and today. We've already been to my parents' house to say goodbye, and now we're getting ready to eat with his family.

    I have to take him to the recruiter's office by 4:00. Luckily it's attatched to the mall, so my BFF/MOH is going to come and shop with me and make sure I don't lose my mind.

    I'm very proud of him, but I can't help but be sad that I won't get to see him or even hear his voice at all for the next 13 weeks.

    Keep me in your throughts today, ladies.

    Semper Fi,

    Miss Fish

    Oh girl, hope everything goes well.  So is it bootcamp for 13 total weeks?  That seems so long!

    @MissAsB:  Yes, it's 13 weeks... the Marines go for like 5 weeks longer than the other branches :( And then he will have 10 days leave, and then he has 8 weeks at the School of Infantry right after that. I know it means that he will be very well trained, but I can't help but miss him.

    Well...my husband is deployed for the year. So look on the bright side of things...it could always be worse! 13 weeks will go by FAST - trust me. I've done that kinda time plenty. You can definitely do it!!! Smile PS. Write lots of letters.

    Oh gosh, I am SO not looking forward to the deployments... just taking it one step at a time for now!

    I have written him a letter every night since he left, but I don't have an address yet, so someone is going to be getting about 15 letters sometime next week, haha.

    Oh hunny I'll pray for you. Letters are what got me through him being gone, so definitely write them every day. Plus DH said it was so comforting to be able to read the letters over and over. =]

    Kudos to you for being a marine wife my dear, eek they have it hard! You must be so proud though!

    @Miss Fish: *hugs*

    The 13 weeks will go by fast once you get a good routine down. I've been there! And don't stress about deployments just get. Just get through what you have to deal with now.
