I was out of the country for two weeks with my mom and sister and had to leave Darling Husband home because he had work. He was sad (and didn’t go to the grocery store!!) for two weeks. But when I got home, I was so surprised because he completed several projects we had been talking about or things i had pinned (yes, he’s on pinterest!). they were the best welcome home/christmas gifts i could ever ask for!
top left: two staghorn ferns that he mounted onto cedar in our bedroom. they look like antlers and i LOVE them! he saved another for a project for us. top right: decor for the house from a pint i saw a while ago (i’m sure everyone has seen it!) bottom right: lined our wire baskets with kraft paper to make the whole entertainment center less cluttered looking bottom left: hung our airplants on the wall as an installation (also from a pin i had!)
how has your SO surprised you recently? any good pre-Christmas gifts??

That is so sweet! We moved into our house a year and a half ago and there are still so many projects unfinished.
But since I get to pick up my new car tonight Darling Husband is on my good side 🙂

I had been complaining about our espresso machine/latte maker machine for awhile it just takes to long to do and to clean. It also doesn’t make very good black coffee it’s always to strong. Anyways so I have been saying I really want a kuerig but was going to wait till after Christmas to get one. The day after our reception I went out to lunch with all the ladies in my family. When I came home my hubby had a brand new kuerig set up for me. He had gotten it while I was at lunch and not only did he get me one he bought the best one they had it’s pretty amazing.

We just got married less than a week ago, but our house only became available about six weeks ago. The house needed a GREAT deal of work. During that six weeks leading up to our wedding, my then-fiance/now-husband has worked daily to get this house ready.
He is already a busy attorney with many responsibilities, but every night he would come in here and paint and clean things up. In between he also went shopping for new appliances, hired contractors to update the air cooling and heating system, new carpet, etc. etc. I wasn’t able to help as much because I lived across town and also I couldn’t afford to buy any of the new things.
It was such a labor of love on his part. Nobody has ever done anything like that for me. I feel so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life and to be able to call him “my husband.” He really is special!
