Yes!!! Darling Husband is also terrible and can’t find anything.
Ex) Darling Husband: Honey, where’s that business card from that guy that was on the side table a month ago?
Me: Did you look in your stack of business cards?
Darling Husband: Oooooh ya.
Ex) Darling Husband standing in front of the fridge: Honey, where’s the mustard?
Me: On the door. It’s at eye level.
Darling Husband: No it’s not. We must have eaten it all.
Me – walks over, grabs it from in front of his face and hands it to him.
It happens all. the. time.
ETA – Now I usually say “Honey, did you look left and right?” he says yes, and then I go pick up whatever it is that’s right in front of him.

Not my husband but I am the worst at losing stuff! My husband is patient with me, but I know it drives him crazy to constantly have to ask me, “Where did you put x?” and for me to say back, “Ummm, I have no idea.” 🙂

He doesn’t lose stuff, but he seems to have short term memory loss a lot lol.

Yep. FI would lose his head if it wasn’t attached.

on behalf of all of us forgetful, scatterbrained SOs, I apologize. we really don’t mean to lose things! I just had to call in a replacement credit card yesterday and have to get help finding things all the time. I know it frustrates SO but he’s patient and knows I mean well, thank goodness!
I think twice a day I have to say “hey, will you call my phone?” I swear it must have legs and walk away!

SO has been through 6 cell phones in the three years that I’ve known him. He’s forever losing his wallet too. I think it’s kinda cute.
Of course, the main reason I like it is that he can’t say anything about me losing anything.

My DH does this ALL the time!just yesterday he asked me to get some more toilet roll on the way home because we had run out. Im sure we had loads left (we only got some a few days before) but got some anyway. I get home,he whimpers gratefully at me and dives into the bathroom. I go to look in the spare room in the cupbord where the toilet roll has always been kept, and lo and behold, there sits a full pack!
Apparently he didnt know it was there. Where its been kept for the past 12 months. d`uh!

My Fiance loses and misplaces everything too…
It brings to mind a slightly vulgar joke by Roseanne: “Men think a woman’s (hoo-haa) is a GPS tracking device.”

@bakerella: My husband is the exact same way. I have to physically point things out for him to be able to find them.

@Rouquine: I say the same thing!
This reminds me of a funny story about me: I wear glasses 24/7 and when I was in my teen years and started not wearing them cuz I got so tired of wearing them… my eyes got tired and I’d put them back on. After a while I would ask ppl “have you seen my glasses”, and ppl would reply “hmmm they’re on your face stupid” lol…. Ever since then I do not lose anything. Fiance on the other hand is a different story.

Mine just misplaces things around the apartment. He’ll phone for takeout and walk around the apartment holding his credit card until it’s time to give them the info, then he’ll leave it on a bookshelf or the coffee table or some other random place other than where he usually keeps it, and the next time we go out and he needs it, he flips because he can’t find it anywhere. He also has a tendency to leave his phone under pillows.

Darling Husband tends to misplace A LOT of things but it is rare for him to completely lose them. But he always seems to be seraching for the next thing he’s misplaced. 🙂

@Gemstone: I swear he’s just gotten to depend on me finding things for him now and he doesn’t even look, he just asks me to find it for him. I’ve started refusing.
