No, because I'm not married yet.
But my dad lost 3 rings, 3 times until my mother finally said she wasn't going to purchase any more. And they're still happily married (30 years!)
It's disappointing, but ultimately, it's just a ring and everyone loses things from time to time. Is it really worth not speaking to your husband all morning?
DH hasn't lost his yet, but he's pretty good about that sort of stuff. However he doesn't wear it when he works PT on his parents' farm, so he often forgets it when we return home and then has it off all week. That really stinks, but when you can't/don't wear it all the time it's easier to lose it.
No I knew i was being silly. The thing is he has "misplaced" it before and i told him "put it in my dang jewellery box" he says okay...but now this time...its gone forever, we searched high and low.
I think part of it was that we JUST got married and he very rarely gets time to wear it. I have waited so long to see him wear his ring and two months in he loses it.
And that is why we only spent $200 on DH's ring. He can't wear it at work either so I know one of these days he'd going to lose it. He's supposed to leave it at home but sometimes he forgets to take it off and then puts it "somewhere" so he doesnt lose it...
Yes my husband lost his, then I found it 2 days later in a parking lot. Then he got it stuck on his middle finger and had to get it cut off. I hope his turns up for you guys!
I am so sorry.
Do you have a cat? If you do, try checking under the stove and the refridgerator or anything else the cat may have knocked it under.
@sunshine23 yeah we only paid 100.00 as we kind of saw this coming as well!
@soccerball...sorry I laughed a little when i read your post. Guys are so sillly!!
@noritake22 good thinking....we did find it under the bed once as our kitty had knocked it under there, so it could be in the kitchen as well.
Thanks ladies!
My husband lost his on the fourth day of our marriage. Honestly, it bothered him more than me. He's gotten a new one, but I always joke when he takes it off to do something that we're not married anymore.
@TheFutureMcBride
I think it bothers him more as well. I do the same thing though and joke about how we arent married when he doesnt have his on! :)
My husband lost his ring at our reception!! He lost a bunch of weight and needed it sized again by the time our date came so it was super loose the day of. The band found it and thank goodness he realized it was missing! after the wedding he kept saying he liked it loose and i kept telling him he was going to loose it again. Well a week later He lost it again!! Right after he had taken the trash to the dumpster. So i started searching our apartment and made him go search through the dumpster. After he went through everything I finally found it in a pile of laundry he had left for me to clean. Well he defiantly learned his lesson and we went to get it sized the next day! I totally understand how you feel though! His ring was only $500 but it is so sentimental to me. During that short amount of time we couldn't find it, i was so upset!
My dad lost his ring the day before my parents' first anniversary. (Never to be found, he lost it while working on the farm.)
If your husband lost it at home, there's a good chance you'll find it!
My husband only had his a month. He's in the military and they caught him wearing it and freaked out so he put it in his pocket... and it fell out. It was a $400 white gold ring! It was replaced by a $50 titanium ring... I wised up! lol
MY HUSBAND FOUND HIS RING!!! (and by husband i mean me!!) but yeah!! It makes me happy. We are going to a wedding this weekend and seeing some friends for the first time since we got married....now i can flash off my new hubby and his handsome ring *laugh*
@baileyh so glad he found it!! That is the worst feeling when it's missing!
And yes the reception lol i didn't know about it until after and im kinda glad i didn't. You can see in some of the reception pictures that he didn't have it on for awhile lol
Well, mine didn't lose his ring but it was too big and titanium (can't be resized) and he waited 'til the last minute to pick it up so he had to wear a huge ring for the ceremony and then return it (after our honeymoon) for a second ring (also too big). Finally, about a month after the wedding he got a ring that fits and hasn't had it off since. I admit it was a little sad looking at his bare ring finger for the first month of our marriage and wondering if he was trying to get out of wearing one.
My BF's husband lost his band about 2 weeks after wedding and has lost several more since. Like your hubs, he has to take it off for work and it's easy to leave someplace or have fall out of a pocket, etc. It's disappointing for her, I know, but I don't think it's any indication of his commitment to their marriage.
My husband lost his ring right before our one year anniversary. He always puts it on the arm of his glasses when he goes to sleep, so he always knows where it is. We were making pasta and he must have taken it off somewhere in the house. We searched high and low at home and at the office and I was convinced it was gone forever. I was somewhat sad as it was the ring we were married with and I knew that a replacement ring would not carry the same sentimental value. As I was packing for our anniversary trip I found his ring sitting perfectly on a sweater of mine in a drawer. Needless to say, we are both much more careful. Hopefully your husband's ring will turn up!
