- Wedding: December 2017
and she answered! By the look on his face when it occured, I thought for sure he was going to turn around and smack it out of her hand. He managed to keep it together and so did it I. It gave our guests something to laugh about, even the ones who weren’t able to make it to ceremony heard about it at the reception.
Solution: On our honeymoon in the next couple of days, we are going to recite our vows to each other to create another special memory. I couldn’t tell you what our vows said even though we wrote the ceremony ourselves because the entire time I was still focused on the dumb cell phone instance.
Another thing that went wrong at our ceremony: we brought an MP3 player for ceremony music and we assured ahead of time they would have the cables that we need. We brought extra just in case. Well it turns out that it was a complicated PA system so half an hour before the ceremony I was running around my parents house looking for a boom box and a CD of piano music. We didn’t test it out since there was no time. DH’s family didn’t remember the order of who was to walk down the aisle, so my officiant announced everyone as they walked (which was fine, since most of our guests wouldn’t have any idea who my ssiters were, etc). And theeen the CD started skipping. I think I ended up walking to down to Edelweiss.
Solution: There is none for this but I’m not really all that upset by it. Darling Husband feels bad that he didn’t personally check it out and relied on the venue’s assurances. Whatever. Our ceremony itself was pretty, it was in a gorgeous location so I’m guessing we got some pretty BA pics, and we had an amazing time celebrating at our reception!
