First, check to see if he's even opened/read it. If not, just have him delete without opening.
Second, men are dense. He will never make the connection. If he's anything like my FI, he'll take a quick glance at it and email back, "nice job, babe!" just to make it look like he actually looked at it.
Yeah, I would doubt that he even really looks too closely. And either way, the designer pics of a dress look soooooo different from how the dress actually looks on. Mr. Star has seen the designer pics of my dress a gazillion times, but I'm not at all worried because it looks so vastly different on me. Don't stress!
Oops! Is it actually you in your dress? Because there is a chance he won't recogize it on you, especially if he looks at it only very quickly like hotchildinthecity said.
It's okay! Step back from the ledge!!!
No, it's not me in the dress. THANK GOD. I'm just going to down play it all. I'll just wait to hear from him and see if he brings it up.
Okay...he just called. He said he loves all of our colors together. Then he asked if that was the color of my dress, ivory. I said yes, it's ivory but all of those photos are just random pictures. He then asked me if that was the style of my dress and I just said no, it's not.
And that was that. BEES - you were right. Thanks for letting me freak out. At least he didn't say anything about the dress...good or bad! AHH!
And you know, on your wedding day he probably won't even realize or remember that that is the dress lol!
Haha. I'm glad that it all worked out. Boys are silly, and I bet he'll never remember it by the time your wedding rolls around. My husband flipped through a bridal magazine to comment on all of the dresses, flipped to the page that was mine, stared at it for a while, didn't say anything and kept going. When I asked him at the wedding if he even remembered it, he said he probably just couldn't think of anything snarky to say so he moved on. He had no clue.
ErinMarquerite - hilarious! I don't know if it's most men, but my FI doesn't notice detail very often, so I'm so thankful he didn't think twice about it when I answered him. When secretly my insides were turning! WHEW!
I just wanted to chime in and say that purple and orange are our colors, too, so I'm particularly partial to this inspiration board :) Yay!
I love your fall colors! I never would have put purple & orange together, but it looks fantastic. Nice job :)
I love your inspiration board!! If I wasn't having a spring wedding, i'd totally go for fall!! I see so many great ideas for fall weddings!
Your colors and dress are gorgeous! Glad everyone was able to help you and ... of course that your FI didn't even think much of it in the end!
Gorgeous inspiration board and great colors!!! Glad the crisis is averted!!!!
something similar to me happened. I was flipping through my digital camera showing my FI photos of some other dresses I had tried on! Then I accidentally flipped to the photo of me in my dress and said "oops". He was like "is that the dress". I lied and told him no, I was just joking when I said "oops". He never remembers this and hopefully won't remember it on the wedding day. The photo was only up for like 3 seconds before I quickly changed it.
I think men forget about these things all the time. Plus seeing it in a photo won't be like seeing it in real-life at all!
lol, I was going to tell you he'd never notice.
He'd be curious and try to picture you in something like that - but only for a minute.
They're very visual, but wedding dresses are totally girl things.
I bet on my wedding day my guy will only remember 'something in white' - not even thinking/noticing that it's ivory!
it's BEAUTIFUL!!! He probably won't even notice the dress down in the corner; guys don't take that kind of time on this stuff!
I love the colors- such a beautiful fall wedding! And I agree with the ladies above, he really probably won't even think twice after he sees the dress I'd say youre safe! I know my FI doesnt know the difference between one white dress and another.

So I was all excited to share my inspiration board with my BMs and my Mom. I emailed it to them. Then I was like, my FI would love to see this and so I emailed it to him.
Here's the problem: the wedding dress photo I used in the board...IS MY DRESS! I didn't even think about it because I was so excited about all of the colors, etc.
Someone please talk me down off the ledge. I feel like such an idiot.
