Well, the days got faster and faster until my 5/27 wedding was finally here. I was so pleased with how everything turned out that I wanted to share a few pictures. The day was absolutely perfect, and I can’t think of a single thing that went wrong. I was a control freak right up until the day before and then suddenly I didn’t care – I just wanted to enjoy the day. The best advice I got about the wedding day was to forget about all the details the day of, and try your best to be present. I think I did that because I enjoyed and remembered every moment (although it did go by every bit as fast as people said it would.) It was amazing to watch all of the planning take care of itself and to see our close friends and family do all they could to help everything go smoothly. Oddly enough, my favorite wedding memories are the ones that weren’t planned. For example, we both brought our chuck taylors for some cute pictures, but our feet hurt so bad that we just kept them on for the whole reception, and we got so many comments about how cute and how “us” it was. Also, when it came down to cutting the cake, neither one of us had a clue what to do. It turned into an extravaganza with much giggling from the crowd…ridiculous 🙂 – and I wouldn’t have it any other way! These are non-pro so far, but I wanted to share the day with you guys. Thanks for all the advice along the way!
