These are so cool! Great job on the photo and graphics. I remember you posted your original idea a while ago; it was a great idea and it really came together in the end! I would be super excited to receive this invite!
Those are fantastic! My FI's teenaged son is absolutely mad for the 1920s, and loves my stories of living in a fantastic old art deco building in Oakland, so I just had to show him your invitation mock-up. He was just asking me last weekend whatever happened to the bride with the 1920s invites! Now I can show him. The back is great too - I love the mixed typefaces, which make it look just like an old playbill.
Wow! That looks awesome... Yea for Bay Area brides!
I wish I was that creative!
Those are awesome! So unique!!! I'd be so impressed if I got one of those in the mail! Great job!
Well I LOVE originality! You go girl! You did it YOUR way on YOUR DAY! Nothing wrong with that and they look AWESOME!!!! Besides, you are in Berkeley, not too far from me, El Cerrito, and most Berkeley folks are very creative and unique. Have a blessed wedding!
I would like to share my invitations as well as post a picture of myself on the profile, can you advise how this all works? I am new and I do not see an option to upload images.
Thanks!
I love that you used a label with artwork on the outer envelope. Just curious, how did you handle the return address?
gbnmusica, click on the little photo icon (on the right) to add a photo. You'll need the url of where the photo is hosted.
Thanks for the props! They were SO fun to make - and a total collaboration. We had such a blast doing our own "photo shoot" for the picture, which involved a lot of hilarious outtakes.
The address labels are gocco'ed (I couldn't handle doing the whole invite that way, as they are 8.5x11") and I just wrote the return address on the back, because I just didn't care at that point.
Wow, this is the coolest invite I've ever seen. I totally want to go to your wedding! (just kidding
). You must be a graphic designer whiz or are marrying one... or have a friend who loves you a LOT. Way to go, these are brillliant.
oh, congratulations!!!! hunny, they are perfect! so happy for you!
a big ole 'check' on the list of things to do, lol. NEXT! ![]()

They're a little unconventional, I know (and nothing fancy) but we did do everything ourselves, and I think they are totally us. I know that only other people planning weddings can appreciate them like I do: We made an old-fashioned playbill for the main part of the invite:
