I’ve finally received my Passport wedding invitations from Etsy seller Serendipity. Ginger is AMAZING to work with ans so responsive! Well, I LOVE them!! I know the passport invitation route is a little overused but I loved it, and I’m getting married in Mexico! Plus, I thought they would look great with my colors(fuschia/purple/ivory/gold). And they do!
We got them last night and they’re gorgeous. Even my fiancee was impressed! We picked an antique gold envelope and a Postcard as our RSVP. The carstock is beautoful and heavy and shiny. We’re just SO impressed and proud of ourselves!
Okay, enough gloating….I do have a question for the hive! The envelope is beautiful as it is, but I was thinking about adding a paper liner? What do you think? I’ve attached the 2nd picture with a pink/gold liner as a sample. Thoughts?

I don’t think you NEED the liner – it looks pretty but it is also the first thing people throw away!
Also if I got your invitation, which is BEAUTIFUL by the way, I would think it was weird that you had elephants on the liner! Because elephants aren’t indigenous to mexico in any way! Sorry if that is too picky but it was the first thing I noticed!

I love them! I don’t think the liner is necessary, but it is cute! I like elephants 🙂

That’s awesome! That liner is perfect!

I’ve never seen the passport invite! It’s adorable!!!! I love it!!! I agree with Future Mrs Martin though, the elephants have nothing to do with Mexico (I think India when I see them). I like the colours of the liner, but the elephants throw me.

Sorry, but I think the elephants don’t go with a Mexican destination at all and really take away from your invitations. Palm trees maybe, but I really don’t think you need anything.

Thanks for the comments, ladies! Yes, I know the elephants are sort of left field, that’s why I wasn’t sure if I should add the liner. I originally bought the paper because I do love Indian culture and elephants represent good luck to me–but once I put it on, I wasn’t sure it quite went with the whole theme. Thanks for your input ladies!

I think the liner is a little overkill, and will most likely go unnotices In My Humble Opinion

These are awesome!
I think the liner looks nice, but it is one of those details that no one will likely remember in the end. I wouldn’t kill yourself over it.

Love the invites! They are perfect. I would skip the liner…it doesn’t match the theme and it looks great without.
