My bridesmaids are wearing a beautiful royal blue dress and I am purchasing really pretty silver and crystal looking jewelry for them. Question being, should I follow suit with the bridesmaid jewelry (not the same jewelry, but similar look)? Or can I do something different, like pearls?

It wont look tacky doing something different?

You can do something different. I think the important thing for your jewelry is for it to go with your dress well.

Don’t worry about it, I think it’s fine if you do something completely different!

I’m going different for sure. I have a lovely set of pearls for myself and I’m thinking I want them in something blue that matches the dress.

@katie1494: My girls wore yellow gold. I wore white gold and pearls. You don’t have to coordinate with the bridesmaids at all.

My girls will be wearing gold/pearls and I’ll be wearing white/gold and pearls. It will look best with their dresses/my dress and in pictures I don’t even think you’ll be able to tell. So yes, you don’t have to match!
