Are the straws and forks decorative? Glitter and food don’t really mix well so I’m hoping you aren’t going to use them around food unless it’s edible glitter.

DanielleI:  SO cute! At first I thought you were just giving forks and I was going to tell you to come up with something else, but the cake is a GREAT idea! I wish more people did that! But that’s coming from someone who actually makes wedding cakes.

DanielleI:  Well, I don’t think it will go stale….I usually eat leftover cake a few days after we have an event at our house, who doesn’t love leftover cake?! Maybe you could suggest to her to do a “cake soak” when she assembles the cake? You make a simple syrup and either put it in a squeeze bottle or use a pastry brush to spread it on each cake layer, before you frost the cake. It keeps the cake really moist, and you could do any flavor! Vanilla bean, rum, lemon, really anything!
